***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I see the trumpers are out in full force trying to defend massa's actions. Jim didn't put his hands on that woman. And for this administration to act like a bunch of snowflakes is truly pathetic. But have the nerve to accuse others of being the same way.

condemn acosta for that video where the aide clearly came in way too aggressively, but dont have **** to say when trump encourages physical violence against women, reporters, and nfl players. but, but im boycotting the nfl bc of how they did kaepernick

******* clown

Like when referees watch doctored (or, put another way, slow-motion) videos to see what happened.

What sport you watching where referees get videos from people who deny the mass murder of children at their elementary school?

You can't win an argument with his supporters...

Trump could have pulled out a gun and shot Jim and they would find a way to justify it. Probably with something along the lines of:

"Clearly you can see that the President feared for his life. Jim's demeanor and the way he was moving his hands were threatening. Any of us in that situation would have done the same thing. Maybe next time other reporters will treat him with the respect he deserves! Also if Jim had a gun of his own he could have protected himself."
They're using the same tactics as the BLM crowd

It's laughable the amount of videos on youtube by conservatives trying to "prove" that jim acosta put his hands on that aide. Grasping at straws as usual

Classic whataboutism

With a sprinkle of name calling

This is actually quite astonishing. You, I am assuming, have seen the video but you don't see Jim Acosta physically preventing the intern from retrieving the mic? That is quite interesting.

Brah, stop the BS! You look pathetic trying to convince others to buy into your fake narrative. Miss me with that.

I am speaking to the narrow issue of slow-motion video being considered doctored video.

And I'm asking, what sport is outsourcing its replays to dudes who deny the mass murder of children at elementary school?

Surely the intern didn’t initiate anything, surely she didn’t approach Jim while he was trying to do his job and aggressively tried to snatch the mic away....SURELY Trump supporters didn’t see that...also Fox is scum for standing by and approving this attack on their fellow journalists

you're a cocky passive aggressive *****, coming in here acting all holier than thou. you are a ****ing stooge

edit: i guess i can expect a warning soon, snowflake.

No need for a warning. I don't press the report button. Or the ignore button, for that matter. But, as a general matter, you should work to be able to discuss issues without all the name-calling. As we've seen, this type of rhetoric has proven dangerous in our current political climate.

I did see all of what you described. Now did you see him physically prevent her from retrieving the mic? Or does it all get blurry at that point?

I do not know of any.

Now, will you respond to the issue I mentioned....or...

I think it's terrible that the press secretary of the United States would resort to using doctored video..

I think it's absolutely deplorable when you find out the source of said doctored video

I don't know of any sport that SPEEDS UP the video during the replay process.. seems pretty counterproductive

With all the different People of Color (POC) assuming office, there's been a weird conversation that has started getting louder which is whether Asians (especially Eastern Asians) should be considered POC.
