***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Aides and close associates who’ve spoken to the president in recent days say that he has consistently argued behind closed doors that he is going to emerge victorious, ignoring much of the available polling data and declining to talk much, if at all, about what would happen if he didn’t. Trump will regularly argue that it doesn’t even make sense that Biden could win, when you look at his crowd sizes in the campaign’s closing weeks versus Biden’s.

The Lehigh Valley (along with the all of the Eastern PA cities) has pretty visible Latino population.

When I was growing up, it mostly Puerto Ricans with some Mexicans here and there. But since the 2000s, the Dominican population has jumped up significantly.

99% of the Puerto Ricans I know despite that 🤡, especially after the way he handled Hurricane Maria in 2017.

Turns out 18-24 year old voters vote at a lower rate due to the panoply of voters suppression tactics rather than being distracted by social media.

Hopefully, a lot of people in that age group do vote this year because once you vote once, some of the barriers are broken down for good. As for the other barriers, we need public policy to address those.

Yikes
A spokesman for the Kentucky State Police even defended the Hitler parts.
The quotes are used for their content and relevance to the topic addressed in the presentation. The presentation touches on several aspects of service, selflessness, and moral guidance. All of these topics go to the fundamentals of law enforcement such as treating everyone equally, service to the public, and being guided by the law.”

Excerpts:
The slideshow was included in KSP documents obtained via an open records request by local attorney David Ward of Adams Landenwich Walton during the discovery phase of a lawsuit. Ward requested KSP materials used to train a detective who shot and killed a man in Harlan County, and Ward shared the presentation with Manual RedEye.

Morgan Hall, the Communications Director for the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, sent RedEye this statement: “It is unacceptable that this material was ever included in the training of law enforcement. Our administration does not condone the use of this material. The material is not currently a part of any training materials and was removed in 2013.”
