The thing is that Warnock is running on his character, and his ex's comments, no matter if they are chopped and screwed, will be used to attack the imagine Warnock has built as a candidate
If he were to win, it would be by a razor-thin margin, and he still needs some swing voters and a decent number of white people to vote for him. This thing, no matter how sensational, will probably hurt him. With margins so small, it might kill both his and Ossof's chances.
It is nonsense, and unfair, but that how it goes for Dems, especially black Dems, especially black Dems running in purple areas.
