13 Year old Omayra Sanchez is trapped in debris cause by a mudslide in Columbia in 1985.

Red Cross rescue workers had apparently repeatedly appealed to the government for a pump to lower the water level and for other help to free the girl. Finally rescuers gave up and spent their remaining time with her, comforting her and praying with her. She died of exposure after about 60 hours

So sad this hits me because thats my country
 
Wow man. I'm certainly thankful for my life and those in it.

Especially on a day like today, any of us could have been in those Towers.

Damn...I'm really in tears. Incredible way to start the day.

There is a picture out there very similar to this but it was one of the smaller Japanese islands that mass produces sulfur so the folks have towear gas masks everyday.

I was thinking about that. I think the author of those "Top 10 Craziest Islands" just used this Russia picture
to illustrate how those on that one particular island have to live.
