Im excited to see all the backups and those fighting for a roster spot. Hopefully when it all settles the niners end up with players who contribute at a high level. Im just excited football is back.

Looking forward to seeing what CJs looking like in preseason

Honestly I think he will tear **** up.

He was almost good enough to win a couple of those close games last season that he started for us, working with with a turnstile O-Line, no #1 WR, a much shakier defense, playing against all starters.

A lot of those guys who CJ will play against at QB and on defense during the preseason are future backups, practice squad members, or worse destined to be cut.

C.J. should definitely have the edge in ability and experience IMO.

I'd like to believe CJ shows a lot of improvement this coming preseason. Working with Jimmy G and being in the 2nd year of Kyle's system. I think he'll be good to go if Jimmy ever gets hurt.

Hoping Jimmy shows a big improvement as well.

Yea hopefully the age old notion of competition makes everyone better holds true here. If so, we will have a great QB situation, which we dont get much of. I think the Kaep and Alex situation was pretty good before Alex was traded.

Man cannot wait for even pre-season. So many expectations, and rightfully so. Season ended with a bang. Hopefully they can carry that into this season.

CJ was out there with a turnstile for an offensive line. idk why the niners didnt showcase trent brown's talent more. given the great need for offensive lineman and how trent brown could maul 2-3 grown men at once, i still think Lynch couldve gotten more than a late 3rd round pick for him

CJ first start was week 9 I believe.

His trade value obviously wasn’t where a premier LT should be but he’s never played LT in the NFL. Patriots are taking a risk if they plan on playing him on the Left.

All of his gripes might be true but you don’t air your (former) team’s dirty laundry like that. If he could do that to the team that drafted him and helped him become the star he was what would he say about a team he signs a short term contract with when don’t re-up?
