Denver starting to open back up on Monday. Hospitals are starting re-schedule elective surgeries, and some places are going to open back up - but with limited # of people allowed per sqft, etc. I think I have to start going back into the office the week of May 4th, but everyone split in half and working some days from home and some in the office (M-W-F one week, T-TH the next week).

Every single company is cutting Marketing - I’m not letting my Marketing team spend 200k on an influencer.
Sales and Marketing are the first to go. I'm surprised we haven't terminated our account execs yet.

What industry are you in where the people that generate the revenue (sales) get let go first?

Marketing, no doubt, but sales is business critical in many industries.

IT. I'm in the software side of an Enginnering firm.

Most of our clients are utility and telco companies. When no one is buying our software (because our customers cut their budgets so they won't upgrade etc. due to the recession), our company can survive with a thin sales dept.

Been through a few re-orgs since '06. From my experience, unless sales and marketing are the technical core of the business, they are let go first. You don't need a big sales team if barely anyone is even interested or has the budget to buy.

BA down 24$ in 1 week? what happened? When it was at $90 i thought about it and was pissed i missed out when it went to 180......can it go any lower!?!
