CBS Philadelphia -

Billy Cundiff was confused by what down it was when he ran out onto the field to try and kick the game-tying field goal in Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the Ravens and Patriots.

According to Baltimore kicking consultant Randy Brown, it wasn't Cundiff's fault that he was confused.

"The scoreboard was one down behind, the entire last three plays, from what we understand," Brown said.

That caused Billy Cundiff to have to rush on to the field with just seconds left on the play clock to try and make the kick, which he missed.

When Brown was asked if he thought the Patriots did it it on purpose to gain an advantage, Brown replied, "I don't think you can rule anything out in New England, can you?" [READ]

Patriots still go about their cheating ways, SMH.

losers' lament...let's ignore the fact that you should be using the sticks on the sideline which indicate official downs. let's ignore the fact that the ravens had a timeout. poor coaching on their part, plain and simple. and figures the ravens are yet again whining about something other than their own play and decision making which caused them to lose...cry me a river, baltimore.

Also Harbaugh claimed his squad knew what down it was and any rumblings the score board had anything to do with the outcome of the game is "nonsense".

Dudes had a chance to win and they blew it so they resort to accusations like the true losers that they showed themselves to be on Sunday.

Also on Thursday, the Patriots signed to the practice squad tight end Carson Butler, who spent most of the 2010 season on their practice squad and was released Sept. 2. The only other tight end on the roster is Aaron Hernandez. Another tight end, Garrett Mills, is on the practice squad.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

my dude BETTER be on the field on the 5th...

Scoreboard operators are hired and controlled by the NFL and further, to quote PFT's Mike Florio, official down information is kept at field level, on those big orange sticks with the large number that reads 1, 2, 3, or 4.  Cheer up champ, maybe next year.

You dudes must have some type of sensor that goes off if and when somebody says something deemed as negative about your beloved Patriots.  Quick to the rescue I see.  For the Patriots and you dudes sake, I just hope nothing else gets discovered about them as did before in the past.  Everything done in the dark gets brought to light eventually.

hope so...theyre just as likely to let people think he'll be ready to go and then put him on the "out" list day before. bill and his injury reports

^ DMX, you give ratbirds too much credit. They lived up to their scavenger nature. They can't get anything on on their own, they have to rely on others to eat...This was the best shot they had due to the AFC being the weakest it's been for a while & they still couldn't get it done. Scavenger birds squawk alot & need to be squashed to keep from being a nuisance..

Does anyone have any solutions to getting a hotel or somewhere to stay in Indianapolis?

We have tickets, but the Hotels, even outside the city are minimum of 4 nights/1000$ a night.

Those are 900 a night at least and 4 night minimum! And I'm not talking the Ritz or anything. This is just standard two bedroom room.
1300 if you want remotely in the city. My pops can't bring himself to pay that much for a hotel. Don't even blame him.

I'd probably just spend the night farrrr away from that area (renting a car), then just go there for the festivities and head right back the same day.

Well it's obvious that a city's hotels will raise prices come SB season.
