Good info, I just adjusted my allowances this week to see how much it affects my check. I'll prob update em again next month so I can find that sweet spotIf anyone doesn't actually want a large refund, I found this wage bracket method chart rather helpful

Page 46. All else equal, You can raise or lower your allowances to get more or less back.
Say you made a grand a week. Zero allowances would have $159 withheld. With 3 allowances, they would withhold $101. So depending on your refund amount from the year prior and everything staying the same, you can see if that $3 grand later , or $58/week is more useful to you.
There is NO free money. You may have other liabilities, so it may be safe to have more taken out. Some seem to let the government take advantage of them, and then feel like they are rewarding you. It;s called a refund for a reason.
