this might be part of my self imploding over reaction...

but like 33% of me is a little concerned that CCV declined to sub in/didn't want to be cap tied yet after the last week with the program...... to keep his options open...
 
Thank god England imploded today too or he might have been texting his agent during the bus ride to the airport. Jurgen out. CCV, Nagbe, Nguyen, and Hamid in.
 
I really hope CCV is still committed. But yeesh, could you blame him if he got cold feet from this experience? :lol:

Jeez louise I really really really really really really really hope its not bruce arena... Gulati has been steadfast that Jurgen will in his post until the 2018 WC.

The problem we face here is we need a coach that can not only lead the US team successfully, that person also needs to spearhead footy in the country & take it a step forward.

Jurgen's problem is that he's trusted some players a little too much. There is no way Bessler & Bradley should play again. They look really old & unable to keep up with the pace of the game on an international level anymore. El Tri & Los Ticos really exposed the both of them very badly. Shame because they've been such great players for us in the past.

I don't understand how the likes of Timmy Chandler, John Brooks, & Fabian Johnson can play so well for their clubs but not so much for the US team. Chandler & Brooks in particular looked like they don't even belong on the pitch.

Please no more omar gonzalez. I've long complained at how inconsistent or just plain atrocious he's been playing for the US. The way he turned away from the opening goal instead of trying to block the cross is shameful, absolutely shameful. He needs to get sock beating a la Full Metal Jacket...

I'd like to see some of the young guys play more now like Yedlin, Pulisic, Wood, & Gooch...
 
I still can't call for JK to be fired yet. US as a NT is nowhere near close to being compared to the likes of powerhouse teams in South America and Europe. Our talent pool is not as big as it's suppose to be and we have no world class players in any position. We still have a long way to go, y'all just gotta be patient. Pep and Mou would have the same problems if they coached the NT.

I did buy the black USA shirt for one of my son's Christmas' presents doe. :D I got his name & number on it using official name sets.

Nice. Might check Soccer Loco out. My son has been wanting to wear his Barca jersey everyday for the past 2 weeks, and i'm trying to find an excuse to get him and me matching ones haha

Felt better today. What checking Soccer by Ives all day to hopefully see Klisnmann got fired or he resign. Nothing yet, but still hopeful :smile:

It's actually the 08/09 home jersey that he is wearing. I'll check WSS. I wouldn't mind that away jersey.
 
Dear god, please no Bruce Arena. It would be like going to a nice steak restaurant & ordering a chicken breast. I love Tab Ramos, but he's already serving as an asst & that hasn't helped. He should continue with the younger teams. I'm not sold on Vermes either. Way too vanilla of a hire. We van do better than these names.

yeah i dunno about swapping Jurgy for Bruce. if we're making a change now, let's go 100% new and get a totally fresh view on the players and program.
 
If the US went with any mld manager, I'm cool with Oscar Pareja to. I like that he's in for developing & playing young players. He's pretty astute tactically also.

Bielsa's name is popping up again however much as I like him, I just can't see him being committed to the US. Not sure he'd gel here in the states either.

I do wish we could get a South American manager though to kind of marry the styles.

In the past I mentioned someone like Juanma Lillo who mentored Pep when came to Dorados Sinaloa. I'd like the next manager to be a bold outside the box hire.
 
We're in a tough spot. A bold out of the box hire could very well see us not survive the Hex.

I have no interest in a long term appointment of Bruce Arena. But I have full faith he'd get us to Russia.

Depending on the hire I'd be willing to take the risk on missing out on the WC if it meant long term positive structural change to the program, but it's not an easy choice.

We are in the Hex and we need to win now. Can't win with someone not familiar with our system. It has to be Bruce. One of the few I can see getting us to Russia. Well hopefully tomorrow is the day we fire Klinssman
