You know every artist that signed to Badboy around that time got screwed on their contract. Puff was getting like 80% on the dollar from the Lox, Mase, Mary, 112, G.Dep, Shyne, Black Rob, Craig Mack, Etc...... Diddy would have been deep in Kanye pockets!

Figured. His bodyguard said he had all his publishing and Big didn't even know he was getting ganked. Hard to look at Puff the same way the more you know about everything he's done.
 
To be fair though all artist are in debt after just one album and most don't own their publishing that soon.

Thats how the indistry works for the most part. Especially at the time befoee people were aware of stuff like this due to The Lox going to hot 97 etc.

The Lox came out and said what Puff was doing was industry standard. If you are a nobody with talent and Puff uses his machine and producers to makes you a superstar, thats an investment that he deserves a return on. jimmy iovine gonna do the same **** and no one complains.

In the video above, Ye's managers alreay had their hands deep in his publishing according to d dot.

Ever since 2016 TMZ has all articles that are reported have to be fact checked ever since they lost a defamation lawsuit. It's also been reported Kanye is done doing exclusive music deals with streaming services.
 
That tmz story is all over the place and now they're just shooting for whatever sticks. Now they're saying the $20 mill was for something else. In those exact words.

I don't think they're buddy buddy, but I don't think there's beef either. Think Jay was just upset when Ye ranted and put it on wax. And the 20 mill was the money he gave him for coming to tidal instead of apple.
