Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Antidope strategy:

State his views in the most opinionated manner, strike other opinions down with his "logical" explanations and consistently refutes other opinions then falls back and says he just posting his humble opinion.

I shall be back after I watch Gladiator and I'll make sure I have paragraphs ready. That's not me being snarky either, I'm coming with a full fledged review.

Looking forward to it :hat
Serious. Really hope you do watch and come back with in depth thoughts. I think you'll enjoy it :smokin

Lord of the Rings is 9th on that list :lol :lol I have no comment.

People like you are the reason why we have a 4th Transformers movie coming out.
Exactly.

I said as much (not about him in particular but those ppl) in a different thread about a slightly different topic a few days ago :lol

At the end of the day this thread really isn't for everybody as far as participating goes. Said similar to somebody posting in here that couldn't understand how we were criticizing movies and actors to such a degree. Some of us just have a lot to say and have thoughts on a lot of things review wise.

Nuce :hat

I think the whole thing that gets overlooked about these one take scenes that make them so impressive is what they manage to pull off action wise or story wise. Not simply keeping up the pacing but changing something/one or moving the story forward or overall saying something about that scene in particular.

What's in everyone's movie collections? Pix?
Again I brought none of things up, other people did as a basis to label me a troll. I have yet to make any sort of comment that can be deemed inflammatory or trollish

All I did was say I didn't like certain movies and gave reasons, albeit one lined movies as to why. I wasn't trying to start anything, not intentionally anyway. People just happened to take offense to my opinions and wanted more out of me which I get because that's how this thread works.

I'll abscond from this thread for a bit, I shall be back after I watch Gladiator and I'll make sure I have paragraphs ready. That's not me being snarky either, I'm coming with a full fledged review.
Do you have a movie collection?

Doesn't like Trek or Wars

As of a few months ago. Don't have an updated one.

If my spreadsheet is correct, and it should be, I currently have 214 Blu Rays, 400 DVD's, and 62 Seasons of TV shows. BB, Sopranos, The Wire, etc.

I don't really actively buy DVDs/Blu-Rays anymore. I probably have about 70-80 from over the years. Mostly my favorite comedies, the LOTR trilogy, Star Wars Episodes 1-6, all the Harry Potter films and just some other random stuff.

So the Director of Godzilla was just given the new Star Wars spinoff film, due in December 2016.

In unrelated news, my shorts are suddenly tighter.

Dope collections sirs.

I'd be awed if I saw those collections in person.

Any stories about a specific purchase?

Here's mine:

I was suppose to be on my damn break from NT for a week...but...got damn if Breaking Bad ain't the illest drama I've seen. The Wire has some competition, but thats up next.

They just met Saul Goodman....Saul is the type of attorney I hope to be, a little sleezy, smart, but makes money and can fix anything...there is always a market for a "Fixer"

My Idol.

Jesse: "When it hits the fan, you don't want a criminal lawyer...you want a criminal lawyer."

Walt: "What exactly is it you want to do for me?"

Saul: "What did Tom do for Vito Corleone?"

Refrain from searching for BB pix to avoid spoilers.

Watching Gang Related to see how good it is. By the writers or creators or producers of The Shield and 24. Mainly for my boy John Locke :smoking

On another note, once I accepted how bad it was I actually enjoyed Killing Season. Watching two old guys beat the crap out of each other in the woods was really funny :lol Some of that torture and intended torture was ****** up.

Watching wolf of Wall Street.. Man.. Whoa

Steve.. Steve.. Steve Madden

I did not know the scene that was on What More Can Say from The Black Album took the music from this movie too. I've already rewound it three times :lol :lol

Had some "goals" for this summer on what to watch. No time to watch any TV during the semester but there were a couple shows I told myself i would start or catch up on. True Detective, Mad Me, Game of Thrones, House of Cards.

I opted to rewatch Breaking bad

 It's too damn beautifully dumb

I know the BB reddit is a great source, but is there just a break down of an episode by episode basis of all the symbolism, imagery, etc

White Men Can't Jump just started on HBO. Such a classic. And for an old dude like me, the 90s nostalgia with the clothes and shoes is golden.
