Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Up and Toy Story 3 got my feels all twisted. Pixar is way too

Pinnochio, Jungle Book, Winnie The Pooh, Dumbo, Beatuy And The Beast live action films all coming.

When Pixar was batting 1000, them dudes was mastery with their control of the feels.. 98% of movies wish they could do what Pixar did in that opening scene to UP

They made you love a rat.. Made you had feelings for a cockroach

Then you got this scene at the end of UP:

Pinnochio, Jungle Book, Winnie The Pooh, Dumbo, Beatuy And The Beast live action films all coming.
I don't get it. Live action Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo? Are they gonna get a real elephant? They can't seriously think they're gonna get a real bear and paint it gold or a donkey and tiger in the same room with a malformed pig do they? or is live action for that mean ppl in costumes?

Also, apparently there are gonna be two different Jungle Book movies coming out like within a year of each other.

^ could skip 'a bugs life', 'brave', 'cars' 1 and 2

how was 'inside out'?

also, I had no clue 'planes' wasn't a Pixar movie.. just assumed it was a spinoff from cars

Yeah, I'm starting off with Up and Ratatouille since I haven't seen those in the longest time.

Inside Out was awesome. Definitely a return to form for Pixar and one of their best ever for me. The themes it hit on were excellent and done well, and I loved  the idea of seeing inside a person's brain.. it was executed perfectly.

Still have to get to Inside Out. I'll catch it as soon as it hits my pay-per-view service. Also, technically speaking, I think Planes is a cars spinoff even though the two planes movies were made by Disney Animation Studios and not Pixar. If I recall correctly, Planes was billed as coming from "the world of Cars" and there was a short in which Mater appeared that introduced some Planes characters.

Finally, for the Pixar fans, I highly recommend picking up the collection of Pixar shorts on blu or DVD. They're all excellent.

too bad those movies were horrible..

straight money grab.. you could literally feel them trying to kill time to stretch out a 300 page paper back book into those 3 movies.. no clue how they got 3 movies with a run time over or just under 2.5 hours

That's crazy you missed all of those classic old school animated movies and most of the great Pixar stuff.

I've missed a few of the non-Pixar/Disney hits the last several years.. like How to Train Your Dragon, despite seeing the good reviews.

i watched most of the classic disney films and all the 90s films as well. stopped watching disney films from like 2003-2012. now i watch all the new ones and some ive missed cause of my daughters are into them.

Those are three of the best ones you're missing in Up, Incredibles, Wall-E... and Nemo is really good as well.

And I was getting ready to watch the Incredibles, but I caught the beginning of Armageddon and realized I hadn't seen the opening scene in years, I almost ended up watching it again. It's one of my random guilty pleasure stupid movies that I always end up watching when it's on.
