Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

What use to get me pissed off is they'd have nothing on the channel that was good on or upcoming or something I saw before but when I go on demand they got classics on deck available to watch but don't got it in the cycle for tv :{

These past 2 months, Showtime is suddenly now playing Rounders a lot. This other HDnet movie channel had a ton of Hitchcock films on deck but were playing the same ol regular classics on tv (Birds, Psycho, North By Northwest, etc.).

On another note, Matt Damon talks Bourne

“We always looked at those movies as really about the Bush presidency, and so we kind of had to wait for the world to change,” Damon told BuzzFeed News of the lag time between films during an interview about his upcoming movie The Martian. “What does the character have to say?”

“Without giving too much of it away, it’s Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world,” Damon said. “It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy.”

“We’re starting in Greece, you know, the beginning of democracy,” he said — also a nod to the country’s current financial crisis that is plaguing the greater European economy. “And the movie ends in Las Vegas, the most grotesque incarnation of….”

It'd be cool if he found a way to kill Renner's character and bang Weisz's character :smokin

Who are you? Are you a murderer? Are you a mercenary who turns his back on the innocent? Are you only the legend? Or are you the truth behind the legend? We believe in you. We have faith in you. Have faith in yourself. Remember the man that you are. Remember the deeds you have performed, the Labors you have accomplished! Now, tell me! Who are you?

Watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind right now. Speilberg is the GOAT. Love the Jaws reference towards the end. Seeing Richard Dreyfus got me thinking what happened to him though? Just old age? Dude was nominated for an Oscar in 95' for Mr. Hollands Opus, then he never had a leading role again. And I havent heard of any of the films he has been in in that time-span. Anybody know why?

Last film I remember seeing him in was Poseidon. Last movie I heard he was in was Piranhas

Movie channels delivered again tonight - South Park Movie. Forgot how funny this **** is.

Also, Sex Tape has been on Showtime and I have zero interest in watching it and I like Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz.

There's a Macbeth movie with Michael Fassbender and I'm just now learning about it... ..!?

They need to release this in America like now
S___, I forgot about that one.

I remember seeing the trailer for it & it looked

Any praises for Narcos yet?
I'm not too excited going in for I feel like I've seen this in every way possible.

Sidenote: More people need to watch Australia's "The Slap". I know I already mentioned it but, it's worth it.

Caught The Equalizer today. No Taken 1 or John Wick, but pretty solid. The scene in the home store was like the R-rated, lethal version of Home Alone.

Haven't seen gone girl yet. Have owned it forever but haven't got the urge to see it yet. Was told it would be a movie that would piss me off. Got into Rick and morty . Man I love this show. It's so great. Rick is a g. Just seen san Andreas. Typical disaster flick . Enjoyed the visuals but that's about it . Average movie

I've heard about rick and morty a couple of times in general. Title sounded like a cartoon to me. Will check it out.

Watching terminator geneysis. Why they cast that old guy as john connor? At least cast someone cool like when they had christian bale.

Watched Entourage and Southpaw today..

Entourage was decent, but they were trying way too hard to fill the movie with cameos..Mark Wahlburg just randomly walks up to Vince and outta nowhere plugs his garbage reality show Wahlburgers..:{..Story was kinda all over the place and it was like they gave up caring about a plot about a 1/4 of the way through writing it..

Southpaw was a solid movie that I'd recommend..A couple times the movie kinda bogs down a little, but overall it had a good story, real nice fight scenes, and really good performances..Jake did one of his better acting jobs in this one, but I think Forrest Whitaker stole the show..

Chef was really good. I enjoyed it a lot.

And I should stop right there but it wasn't like really really good I'll watch this a lot more times over and over again like I've seen ppl say in here. Don't think the don't get the internet/twitter scenes will hit me the same way the 3d or 4th time around. I kinda wanted more. In the end I accepted that the story leaned more in to the father and son plot -which I liked - but I wanted more of this world of cooking. I wanted more time in Texas (love me some bbq, smoked 14hrs done right, etc.). I wanted way more time in NO. I wanted to see him get his shot with his own menu in a restaurant to prove that critic wrong before what happens in the end. That whole part where he got fired and then cooked his menu in his place instead had me frustrated. Probably not a knock on the movie since I'm saying I didn't want it to end.

Loved the cast. Really felt like Favreau called in a favor. It's like RDJr did not need to be in this :lol but it was cool that he was. To a point, same with ScarJo. It's like he told Feige to make sure they were available.

Leguizamo's character was a great friend. I could probably fault cuz there was no in story explanation but son just showing up across country to help his friend off of something he said in passing where you'd think he meant a more serious gig was great. It did also obviously keep the story going and get over a few hurdles they didn't then have to show dude going through alone.

Probably should've just showed him smashing Sofia Vergara to really wrap up that everything works out in the end for this dude.

Does corn starch on your balls work? 8o Asking for a friend

7/8

EDIT

On another note, I don't care what yall say, Horrible Bosses 2 was fun to me. Terrible plot for the most part like the first one but it's all about the funny bits they get to cram in there along the way. I want to see Charlie, Jason, and Wilde's husband team up for #3.

Also, I need more of that Jennifer Aniston. I'd let her sexually harass me and talk dirty and tell her nasty stories all day to me. I've actually never found her more attractive than in that role :lol :smokin

Rachel McAdams in Southpaw >>>>>>>>>

And I agree Zik, HB2 is bad, but fun bad. Soooo much better than 1. Spacey was hilarious, Foxx was funny, and Bateman was really good.
