Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I've realized a lot of people have no patience when it comes to movies and TV.

If someone isn't being "whacked" in the Sopranos then the episode sucked type people

Liking bad movies is better than that douchey post someone had where they said only movie watchers like them can appreciate a movie like The Artist. Like they're on some different level of having eyes and watching something.

Yeah, we touched on this topic in here not too long ago.

This scene from The Sopranos is easily one of my favorite scenes from the series & it has absolutely nothing to do w/ someone getting whacked.

^^^ We have plenty of NT members who are like that, as demonstrated in some of the show threads. Complain that any episode of a show that doesn't include a major plot development is boring or weak.

Something can be boring and still be good. Entertainment level and quality don't always correlate.

That's a great scene, very emotional. Unintentional comedy too:

"Make sure you form a seal when you shut that freezer door."

Miss that show, man.

There was a ton to love about Creed.. but I think my favorite moment was

in the final fight and last round, after Rocky tells him he loves him and he stands up and the classic Rocky theme kicks in... GOD DAMN I almost jumped out of my seat in the theater. That **** was PERFECT

Yo, same here. "You're a Creed, and I love you kid".

When he went to visit Paulie and Adrian at the cemetery. I had just watched Rocky 1-4 that same week so they were JUST alive. And then bam he visits their graves.

RE: Creed, does anyone else get a feeling that we might end up seeing Ivan Drago's son in a future film? MBJ stated he wants "a real villain" in the next film, the writers could easily work on Drago Jr as the antagonist.

Creed was all about Adonis overcoming his anger about being orphaned, and fighting himself more than anything. Now that he's at peace with himself, why not introduce the family that killed his? Or is that too easy of a story?

More like too lazy/cliché of a story.

I see his next opponent being dude who knocked him silly & took his mustang.

Speaking of the mustang, what year was that bad boy 8o

That matte black was too clean.

Yes, cliche was the word I was looking for! Adonis needs to be world champ at the end of the next film though. Would be cool to see him fight that #2 ranked guy that took his car; he'd be #1 now since that British guy is going to prison right?

I know everyone loves John Wick, and for good reason, but I think one of my "I can watch it whenever" movies is Jack Reacher.

But Tom Cruise is just so damn cool in this movie.. throw in Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike and it's got a lot to like in the cast. It's entertaining to watch Reacher investigate and the story unfold, and the action sequences are done really well. The bar fight, the final shootout, and the car chase scene when Reacher blends in with the crowd (my personal favorite).

Very rewatchable.. Between this and edge of tomorrow, I'll always watch for a bit whenever I see them on

Hell I'll even watch knight and day for a bit if I see it on.. Cruise figured out what his thing is and sticks to it.. Like with Denzel and neeson

Count me in the club with no friends and watching w/e I want. Any time ppl call me up to come thru it's always some whack *** movie. Like they really thought I was gonna pay money to see Pixels and The Last Witch Hunter.

Only time I sit through bad movies or tv shows is for netflix and chill :hat

Repped on Jack Reacher being re-watchable. I really enjoy that movie.

That was the first thing I said. Wish he would have saved the Pac intro music for that. Make that like the 3rd or 4th movie after he's gotten a belt. Let Drago have Twins and the could be on their Klitschko Bros thing.

Creed was :hat.
Stallone knocked it no pun intended.
Deserves the Oscar nomination nod.

I'll put it a tad bit better than the other boxing movie of 2015, Southpaw.
Southpaw was good.
But was predictable AF.

Have yet to watch "The Martian".
Cant stand Damon.
But will endure it because the movie has been praised by people I know.

He was a d-bag in Interstellar thats why.
Another "space themed" movie.

Both Interstellar and The Martian are phenomonal, so definitely watch the latter when you can. Completely different type of character to the one he played in Interstellar. Though you could easily say that the character he plays in The Martian is what the character from Interstellar would have been had he not succumbed to his darker impulses.

this.

its like a ritual for me to go home and read up on anything and everything spoiler related after watching a good movie (and post the /8 score on NT)

I aint got time to hang out and talk about other things

2. drago took so many roids that his junk probably doesnt work anymore

3. I love rocky 4 but I dont think they will make a movie with such a close connection with the cheesiness of that movie

4. hard to blame drago's kid for what his daddy did
