Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

The Circle 6.5/8

It's a movie length episode straight from Black Mirror.

A lot of th3 id3ology and messages are just scary as **** if society adapted it.

Will get in to more later but watching GotG2.

Not too shabby rating.

I was a little hesitant to go see that movie despite being a fan of Hermoine & Tommy Hanks.

Side note: Darktower looks amaaaaazing from the trailer.

Probably my most anticipated movie of the year.

I been thinkin on this for a few days, Alicia Silverstone was EVERYTHING in 1995 after doing Clueless, and hasn't done a dammmmmmmmmmmmn thing since. :lol

What the hell happened? :(

And it really hit me today, randomly when I saw a preview....they are rebooting the Diary of a Whimpy Kid franchise, she plays the mom. The freakin mom. :eek :{

I enjoyed GotG2 also, but I wouldn't rate it that high. Good continuation of the series, but a bit too formulaic and lacked focus for the first two acts. Third act did well pulling everything together and wrapping up this story, really enjoyed Drax being the comic relief and the group growing as a whole. I'd give it a generous 6/8 tbh. First one was better imo, but origin stories are usually easier to put together. Can't wait for Infinity War.

To me I quickly got that this was way more character focused than anything so the first two acts is exploring and diving deep in to these character relationships and getting more of their back story and seeing how they relate.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's weird how she's a household name off that one movie.

I liked her in Batman & Robin :lol

I remember her in the movie The Crush and I just found out she was 15 when she filmed that!!!!

Anyways, I'm bout to watch Lost City of Z in a little locally owned theater in my town. GF is outta town so I can watch whatever movie I want!

though I am very interested in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance remake

Chris Pine is hosting SNL and he's singing in like every skit.

It's pretty funny :lol

White ppl singing r&b awkwardly like they have rhythm will never not be hilarious.

Highly recommend vol 2.. need to watch again before giving my rating and see where I have it on the MCU movies..

But I definitely have it in my top tier of MCU films along with: CW, IM1, A1, GOTG and WS

For me, 8/8. I'll fight anyone with my make believe shield.

is it really that bad? I feel obligated to see it since the setting is in the bay but....
I think it's one of those movies that's hit or miss, depending on your style. I was surprised to see that it got 84% on RT though. If you're from the area, def give it a go.

I’m actively working on Edge of Tomorrow 2 right now, which is going to go by the title Live Die Repeat and Repeat. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are both signed on.

Edge of tomorrow was so damn good.

One of the things I liked best was Tom's ability to portray vulnerability with his acting. And I'm not just talking about having to die over and over again. I mean how he portrays his love of Emily Blunts character. It's a nuanced vulnerability that's so powerful. You can really FEEL the connection between them instead of the usual cookie cutter action hero love interest, you get actual emotion. Great action, great acting, refreshing story, 7.7/8.

Lost city of Z.............4.6/8

Comedian Jermaine Fowler performs his first ever stand-up special, poking fun at his life in hilarious detail. From being raised by his young parents to growing up with a brother his family thought was mentally challenged.
Roy Wood Jr. tackles freeway protests, examines the origin of the blues and explains why the Confederate flag is sometimes helpful.
both of these were

Just finished up "Dear White People" (Show). Man that was such an easy finish. 30 mins, 10 shows. If you haven't do yourself a favor and watch. The Coco and Reggie Episodes stood out to me. Damn good show man.
