Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Wonder Woman was ok.. kinda feel like some things are being over looked because people want it to succeed so badly

There is some good, also some bad and some in between

Here's what i put in the DC thread:

Movie was a more gritty TFA, which was good and should have been done in both.. but not sure if it was actually a better movie though

Parts were really good and I liked what they did with certain things.. like philosophically what Aries was vs how naive Diana was

And if I had a daughter, I would especially like messages that the film delivered

Not sure why they gave everyone else an accent AND not the British spy pine.. especially when pine had to throw on the German accent later on in the movie.. the German folks talking English didn't bother me

However, the constant slow mo during every fight scene was distracting and felt unnecessary.. and that end fight scene with Aries reminded me way too much of BVS

Also I didn't get the ending message of hope when Diana was going say peace out to man.. wish they would have gone with some sort of the devil didn't even really need to try/fight to win, basically have Aries crush Diana's spirit IF they were going continue with the BVS her losing faith in man.. even within the film the beginning portion didn't make sense with the end to me

Also wish they explained the choice of her uniform colors.. considering it has been addressed with the character before not sure how it tied into that story and what we saw of Themyscira

Also, although pine was good wish he got saved for Hal Jordan

Also, that gas mask "they don't know that hehe" scene was unnecessary

BB season 2 Episode 9:

I was about to wonder when Saul would be introduced seeing as how he got his own spin-off show he must be that important but the strength of him coming out strong and I'm only on the second episode of him included in the show is pretty astounding. I know of spin-off shows before but usually on later seasons?

First season is usually for introductions second season is setting up the storylines/future long-term goals and problems. And when we get to the third season it's full character development being churned out based on how everything is thrown at them. And the show is going full steam ahead. Most shows are given proper judgement on the third season. Also sees if the show is good enough to make it season three.

Never said I would see the show quickly lol. I'm getting there. Good show right now

Writing is good. I don't expect any sort of Deus Ex Machina to occur for BB

Just started Show Me a Hero, anyone else watch this? HBO mini-series, David Simon show with Oscar Isaac as the main character. I'm 2 episodes in and enjoying it a lot so far.

That mummy movie releases this week. Wonder if they'll continue with the other monster movies if it isn't a hit.

I think they will continue. They can't expect it to be that great for the first film. I will support if reviews are pretty good.

Masterminds: 5.59/8

Some really funny parts, but a ton of parts that should have been left for the DVD extra features. I thought Kate mckinnons outtakes were funnier than her actual lines. Also though Zach and Kristen Wiig needed to share way more screen time. Wiig could have stole the show actually.

Man Vs. 4/8

Reaaallly good cinematography. Really boring compared to man vs wild.

:lol

Ever been on a roller coaster? You're still just doin the climb bruh. You haven't been dropped yet.

Fasten your seatbelt. :hat

watched the keepers last week. although it brought up disgusting events, there was nothing that shocked me since my opinion on the catholic church politics is already low. based on what they presented, it seemed obvious what happened but there was also no solid conclusion and no conviction so i felt like i was left hanging. kinda felt like i wasted 7 hours. 3/8

Wonder Woman - 6/8

It was pretty solid/good. The tempo of the movie was kind of all over the places and fell flat a few times too many, but when it hits it hit well.

Over a drink or two, I could probably be convinced to bump it up to a 6.5/8

Kinda wanna be Wonder Woman for halloween.

They're planning to introduce the Phantom of the Opera and the Hunchback of Notre Dame :lol

This new Mummy movie looks so......meh. Or is it just me ?

Doesn't help that the actual "Mummy" (Sofia Boutella) is kinda hot either...she doesn't look menacing at all :lol

I'm not helping y'all beat WW at the box office. I'll watch the scumbag way. :smokin

Everybody Wants Some is playing on Epix.

:rollin
I hope it plays all month. Such an easy watch.

Sofia is the main reason it doesn't look meh at all to me.

A sexy chick that's evil is real life scary.

Add in Tom again wanting to do his own airplane related stunts and I know it'll be a fun ride for the most part.

Im going check it out on Friday..

I've watched POTC, new Alien, WW recently

None of those are touching GOTG vol 2, john wick 2, lego batman and ff8 to me

Also saw Logan, King Kong, ghost in a shell and king arthur

Pretty sure that's all the movies I've watched this year so far

Still haven't seen get out

JW2 opening scene, epic :eek

I've been looking for opening scenes like this every since the greatest opening Action scene of all time, the chase scene from Casino Royale.

This doesn't top that, but it is still dope AF.

True. Like Cate Blanchett as Hela in Ragnorok :evil

I guess I'm just used to the more traditional approach. I like Tom as the lead though....probably the only reason I'll watch.

Such weird choices. Maybe they'll keep phantom a musical. A hunchback is just sad. A deformed guy who is lonely.
Javier Bardem as Frankenstein (Interesting) and Johnny Depp as Invisible Man (No thanks). Universal is doing way too much if you ask me.

I get Universal trying to create their of MCU but it already feels like they're trying too hard and their isn't even a movie out yet :lol

Gonna pass on The Mummy, Tom Cruise just annoys the **** out of me these days :lol
