Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

his range is actually not too bad considering he did magnolia, legend (yuck), born on the 4th of july, tropic thunder, color of money, rain man, and others, as well as the most impressive list of action movies out of anyone ever. i think he’s probably a weirdo and unlikeable irl with all that scientology nonsense but his filmography is staggering.

Trying to get into season 2 of Starz channel’s Counterpart. Had 5 eps on my dvr & on ep 2. Moving so damn slowly.

Tom Cruise's career is definitely one of the more remarkable in hollywood. Probably on a short list of actors with multiple relevant flicks in four decades (and likely into the 2020s at least).

There are few actors I enjoy watching act more than Tom Cruise, he's so wonderfully weird and unabashedly dedicated.

Some of my favorites by him:

-The Color of Money
-Cocktail
-A Few Good Men
-Jerry Maguire
-Collateral (underrated bad-guy TC)
-Tropic Thunder
-Edge of Tomorrow
-American Made

Also he's going to be in something called Luna Park in a few years, here's the description:

"A group of renegade space workers venture to the moon to steal an energy source."

Yeah, that's a Tom Cruise motion picture. :lol

Jon Hamm's in Top Gun: Maverick/Top Gun 2 :wow::smokin

I love to hate on cruise bcs of scientology. I’ve gone in wanting to bash his flicks but always come away thinking that was a decent movie.

His subpar movies are better than some actors entire career.

Even though it’s a terribly classic “white savior” movie, I like The Last Samurai but I think that has to do more with Ken Watanabe being in it.

Btw, I mention this from time to time but Watanabe stars in a faithful Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven.

It’s set against the Japanese Meiji period & Watanabe is an ex samurai/swordsman...

For an action star, Cruise is a GOAT villain

So my New Years resolutions is to see more movies in the actual theatres not just the one or two marvels coming out. Which rewards members stubhub deals thingy are you guys on or would recommend? That $5 Tuesday from AMC looks nice. And I have the usual movie corporations around me so yeah
AMC A-List $20-$30 for 12 movies a month (3 movies a week).

Similar to Will Smith there's a real good actor underneath the action star when it comes to Tom.

Got damn it took a while to take off but Counterpart is pretty good. Finally caught up with all 5 eps of S2...

Debating if Black List is worth catching up on....

finally saw solo. i enjoyed it. dont understand why it bombed but im not a huge star wars enthusiast so i might be missing something. definitely better than episode 8.

No it isn't I hate watching it every week with the wife. Story is so poorly written for a show of that level.
I decided to pass on True Detective.

I cancelled my HBO subscription and will re-activate when GOT returns and catch up on it. Don't see the benefit of paying $15 for one show.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaail mfering yaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!

Got dayum... Halle Berry proly crazier than a mfer but damn she looks good.... my god...
