Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

If you like kids with disturbing behavior flicks, I recommend Case 39 starring Rene Zellwegger. My wife has it on DVD and really likes it.

Movie was trippy af. Personally it made me kind of uncomfortable though, with my experience in social work. Some of the stuff that happened in that movie, people actually do to their kids :smh:

Flame suite ...

I think Imma start a bash my favorite movie segment.

1st up.

Baby Driver ... highly Overrated!!! Not a bad movie at all but not a classic or great movie.

2nd

Super 8

Movie is borderline tolerable. The 3rd act doest makeup how trash the other two acts were. Super blah.

Any suggestion?

I can agree with this. Watching Lily James helps, but otherwise, Baby Driver is overrated. I remember Super 8 just being ok. Honestly don't remember a lot of it which probably means it wasn't all that great.

Watched Phantom Thread.
Didn’t think I’d like a movie about a man who makes dresses
DDL is just so good. His characters are almost never the same. Like his character compared to the one in TWBB is so distinct. Too good.
Paul Thomas Anderson is a master writer and great director. Really knows how to add drama. Hopefully he can write another role for DDL to get him out of retirement.

Anyways, when DDL purposefully got himself poisoned at the end 0]
I remember reading about this and scoffing but caught it when my wife was in the hospital. We both was enamoured by it. Great movie all around.

I’m a huge fan of Super 8. I thought JJ Abrams really knocked that one out of the park. I’m a sucker for that group of kid friends on a mission sub genre though.

Goonies, Stand by Me, Sandlot, Attack the Block, Adventures in Babysitting, etc

Haven't seen Adventures in Babysitting or Attack the Block

Not a fan of The Batman overall.

Visual masterpiece, excellent cinematography and what not. Wasn't a fan of the story at all, Batman and Catwoman were hella hard to understand. Anyone else have that problem? There were probably a dozen lines that I still have no idea what they said.

Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - 6/8

Cool movie, not 100% on Rotten Tomatoes cool though  The Nic Cage novelty was redeeming

Anyone bad mouths Baby Driver again I will come to your house and kick the **** out of you. That movie is FLAMES. One of the most original stories we've seen in years, well told, well acted, great direction, elite cast, score, and Eiza was a Goddess.

One of the few true original films to come out in a long time. The fact they didn't franchise it (and water it down) makes it even better.
