Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I will start

There are types of great girls, film fans and no relating-to-theme people like us, that love Traffic (idk why you included Gladiator in this, that would make any girl more attractive to me)
pmatic pmatic had a post last page about Gladiator/Traffic.
Here let me quote it

I’m pretty attuned to NT so I caught it

That is a great sign, she likes you, Gladiator is a 2000 movie, she could have watched it with her gf now or years ago if she wants to go see Paul Mescal later this month. But she would “love to watch Gladiator with you”.
I’m definitely surprised by her response.
We went out for drinks after a pool party this Summer. We’d set a date the following day(SUNDAY) while having drinks and I suggested a film at the Theatre and she wanted to be able to talk so she picked a Brunch spot. We drank quite a bit that night. She was a bit hungover the next morning so she flaked. I went a played Golf and it’s the last time we saw each other. We play WORDLE daily but other than the occasional flirt we haven’t seen each other since July. I just wanted to know if she’d seen the OG Gladiator and was going to follow up with “what about TRAFFIC?”
Never thought she of all people would suggest a movie date. I guess she’ll take whatever this time, even if it means less talking?

Red One wasn't as awful as I expected. It wasn't that good, but had it's moments. Definitely could have been a solid Netflix movie and Evans and The Rock had some good chemistry, but I expected more silliness. Clearly trying to also set up an extended universe with its world building too.

I remember watching Rush Hour 2 few years back again and was so funny seeing Jeremy Piven in that role after the character he portrayed in Entourage being polar opposite.

Jeremy Piven WAS that guy to me originally (I was 10 when I saw it), and everything that came after was a riff of that guy :lol

I enjoyed Red One actually. I thought they were going to be ridiculous but instead they kept it pretty serious. (Considering subject matter of course) They def didn't cheap out on their attempt. Really good to see Lucy Liu again as well.

I was surprised I didn’t hate Flash. Went in blind expect hearing that it was big trash. I really enjoyed Keatons screen time. Just hearing the OG Burton theme while Keaton zipped around in the Burton era batwing gave me goosebumps honestly.

The main dislike I had was that the actor who plays flash is just not good for this role. He makes me uncomfortable and they are forcing this plucky Peter Parker type persona on him. Oh and I’m super sick of multiverse storylines.

DC is shockingly inept. They did great with Wonder Woman. Did well with Aquaman 1.
Did "ok" with Shazam. Did great on Man of Steel (imo) the Nolanverse. Joker. Did decent with Flash.

But couldn't hit the Supes sequel, or Justice League, or any of the solo sequels, etc?

Just strange strange strange. :{

They need to make a documentary about how Wonder Woman 1984 was such a disaster. Pascal in his PRIME, Kristen Wig, Pine returned, an awesome retro 80’s concept. It shouldn’t have been possible to fail as bad as it did. One of the worst films I’ve seen of the 2020’s
