I rewatched OBLIVION last night.
Film aged well.
Wasn't a FAN on the first watch, 10years later and I love it.
Was there a consensus on Stillwater in here? Watched that last night. Thought Damon KILLED it, and everyone else... appeared in it. Legit went through the entire movie fully expecting that in the end, we see that the daughter was guilty. One technical detail that I absolutely loved about it was that it would frequently throw a nugget of information out there out of the blue then walk backwards on filling in the details to how we got to that nugget. Anyhoo, it was decent, but not something I would watch again.

Stillwater
Movie was real good y'all. Matt Damon's performance was something else. Accent was spot on. Convincingly sold the character and played it extremely well. There was literally 1 mention of Trump and it was used as comic relief. Whole movie was in France so American politics had zero involvement. Just a guy from the south trying to deal with a crazy situation his daughter is in. Movie was 2hrs/20min and it didn't drag one bit which says a lot. Couldn't help but stay glued to see where it was going and appreciated all the thoughtful moments throughout. It dealt a lot with the meaning of family, love, and second chances. I'm sure y'all will appreciate this movie as well.
have to watch it now. been curious about that story.Saw it in theaters. I liked it. Ending felt a bit rushed but other than that it was solid. Also didn't know it was loosely based on Amanda knox's story
Stills is indeed 1 of 1.
Ben Stiller is 1 of 1. We will never have a guy like this again.
Yes, it's been that long.it's that long? wow.
Movie music is life.“Movie music composer” isn’t a particularly big category, but there’s really no debate that John Williams is the GOAT one of those.
I have my other favorites. Bill Conti, Vince DiCola, John Carpenter.Movie music is life.
And I agree with you. John Williams is the greatest.
Honorable mention: Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri etc
Good picksI have my other favorites. Bill Conti, Vince DiCola, John Carpenter.
speaking of Stallone, it reminded me of how great Jerry Goldsmith is as well. guy had lot of masterpieces that became cultural movie icons. Rambo score is amazing, Gremlins Rag always gives me that insane fun theme and the Omen is still one of the scariest scores ever than even listening to it tonight alone in the room in the dark gives me that creepy feeling.I have my other favorites. Bill Conti, Vince DiCola, John Carpenter.
Can I nominate George McFly as well?Never gets old
Her & Elaine should have a dance off
it brings back that old nostalgic feeling. my biggest goosebump moment was seeing the TomCat again.Just back from TopGun Maverick - one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. I laughed a couple of time, had tears in my eyes a couple of times, got goose(!)bumps…
Solid old fashioned summer blockbuster.
