Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Was there a consensus on Stillwater in here? Watched that last night. Thought Damon KILLED it, and everyone else... appeared in it. Legit went through the entire movie fully expecting that in the end, we see that the daughter was guilty. One technical detail that I absolutely loved about it was that it would frequently throw a nugget of information out there out of the blue then walk backwards on filling in the details to how we got to that nugget. Anyhoo, it was decent, but not something I would watch again.

I thought the little French girl was adorable. She and Damon had great chemistry.

I watched Oceans 11 last night - and the first trailer I saw today was a new movie with George Clooney and Julia Roberts playing a divorced couple - I like to think that’s in the same universe.

Anyone catch Love and Thunder yet? Critic reviews (which I don’t care that much about) were mixed from what I can tell.

I enjoyed Love and Thunder. They went overboard on the jokes though.

Pretty much my feelings.

I understand the criticism it has received as well.

Seems a bit rushed in areas in particular Gorr's story arc.

I had no idea about Gorr because I didn't read the comics but getting a synopsis of his story coming into the movie I think he could've been fleshed out more and had the potential to be one of MCU's best villains.

Was my first brush with John Salley as a kid , then he was on The Best Damn Sports Show Period, but Malik Sealy, Dennis Farina 🔥
I remember this being one of my go-to rentals at Blockbuster video years back. It was rented, and re-rented and re-rented.

Good times

Man, the trailer for Amsterdam was looking good, but then the All Star cast just kept going as the trailer went on. I've said it before but I'm always leary of All Star teams in movies. I've been burned by that too many times. In fact I'd say The Departed might be my only exception. DeNiro, Malik, Margot, Anya Taylor-Joy, Bale, Michael B, I mean freaking Chris Rock, John David Washington... iono, man. 😬😬😬😬😬

I thought Amsterdam was one of the least interesting trailers i've ever seen. I can gather nothing from it. That, the cast and the historical claim makes me think there's a tight story in there though.
