I remember this being one of my go-to rentals at Blockbuster video years back. It was rented, and re-rented and re-rented.

can't believe that it was just around possibly a decade ago when Blockbuster existed. the Netflix story is pretty much the dumbest business mistake that Blockbuster ever made and as synonymous to what happened to Kodak.

Speaking of ball movies is Sunset Park worth a watch? It’s one of those movies I don’t think I’ve ever watched for whatever reason.

It definitely is.
This is another one of those Mandela Effect pieces of History for me.
I've seen that film no less than 40times, but I went 25 years between watching it in the 90's and then watching it again in like 2015.
I don't remember Rhea Pearlman as the Basketball Coach, like at all.

Even now I get lost in thoughts trying to remember Her as the Coach.

I hate snakes among other things that I'm fearful of. having close encounters with venomous snakes in my life, it sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it and how close I was into getting bitten.

ended up watching The Bear last night, very watchable with entertaining characters.

the borrowed money storyline and how it was resolved made no damn sense tho.

same here. that movie gave me the willies. I also found John Goodman's exterminator character awesome. love him killing those creepy crawlers. also, hated huntsman spiders.

- empire strikes back
- terminator 2
- aliens

then you got John wick 2, winter soldier.. id say blade runner 2049

What's the consensus on Stranger Things S4? It's reeling me back in and I've only watched the first 4. Best season since 1 IMO.

i enjoyed the hell out of season 3.. season 2 was the only one that had me a bit concerned and was like that even on rewatch

Yeah. Season 3 was watchable but nothing close to S1. This season is much more enjoyable to. It's nothing like 1 (so far). It's almost like an anthology the way they switched gears with Vecna, but it's well done. Sort of reminds me of the Fear Street movies on Netflix.

a comparison I’d make is to Fargo

season 1-3 of Fargo are all good-exceptional seasons of tv.. and then there’s season 4.. season 3 was good but not on the level of greatness of seasons 1 and 2

but with stranger things, the weak season is season 2.. but like the wire season 5, there was good in there

season 2 suffered for the same reason ironman 2 and age of ultron suffered in the MCU, trying too hard to backdoor/set up shh instead of doing more with the stuff actually happening

but season 3 is a good rebound and season 4 was great

I like Alien more than Aliens but both are good.
