Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I watched the 1st season of Westworld and liked it, but for various reasons I didn’t watch the subsequent seasons.

Should I catch up before the new season drops?

For me it's really if I have a show that I'm watching that's dominating my time. For example, I'm rewatching breaking bad keeping up with better call Saul and I'm finally watching peaky blinders So squeezing a movie into that time. It's much easier to get an episode of a TV show in than a full 2-hour movie, but once you get into the habit of like all right, I'm watching a movie today and then another and then another. It's like a momentum you want to keep going, especially since my watch list continues to grow and never shrink.

Rewatched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and it's easily one of my favorites I think

How did I go from watching this film constantly to like once a year? Whatever the case may be, it’s an 8/8 for sure.

Get Out was just a special movie. I remember coming out of it when I saw it and realized I just saw something absurdly unique.

And remembered thinking "I hope this movie gets as big as possible"

Although saying that now makes me sound like Lebron when he lied about watching Kobe score 81 and be like "I knew he would go off tonight pregame" except mine isn't a bold faced lie

My second favorite player of all time, but I think his biggest weakness is that he just lies constantly about things that do not matter and I think that is hysterical

I'm sympathetic and can relate because I've had a few books on my coffee table for a good 2 years and I'm like I'm going to read this tomorrow and I haven't even cracked a page. Granted I am a nobody in the suburbs in Florida not LeBron James bringing the autobiography of Malcolm x to a goddamn interview with the press knowing full well they're going to ask me about it but you're right, his constant lying about things that shouldn't be lied about is absolutely hysterical every time

I hate you guys. Haven't seen The Village in years and I loved it even better tonight. How can you have a problem with the ending? Did you just... not get it? Like, I feel like I'm having the same conversation about The Happening. It wasn't just a random ending, "Alright team, we only have the space rented for another 3 days. Let's wrap it up!"
They were all victims of INTENSE traumas, and... look, have any of you ever been at such a low point where you felt, deep in your bones, "I don't want to be here anymore"? Not suicide, but not... *looks around*... just not this? Like you can't even. I know "I can't even" is a popular cliche now, but their mental state really was that as a result of their intense trauma. So they collectively reset, dialed it back 300 years, and they were doing the damn thing, living their best life... and then tragedy, by way of Noah (little irony in the name there, no?)

But, but, BUT... thanks to access to medicine and what not in OUR world, that tragedy will be diverted, and Noah, well he's out. And then they resume their previously scheduled programming, telling the townfolk that there are monsters in the woods, just stay here, blah, blah, blah.

I think Signs tried to hard to be different and ended up being a standard alien flick. Lady in the Water, it's my M. Night low, for sure. Village? Excellent; EXCELLENT. *chef's kiss*

I totally forgot to pay attention and notice if there was any connection to the Split trilogy, so at the very least I can say that nothing jumped out at me.

I believe the hate came from how the trailer misled people. people were expecting a horror flick but ended up with a suspense and mystery. it was a very good movie imo compared to signs which was underwhelming and average.
