enjoyed the movie. joel and hardy were great. wish there was a little more backstory and show life after the tourney.

midsommar - 7/8
what did i just watch. disturbing but kept my full attention. florence was great. cinematography was really good. colors and lighting were a1 and a good contrast to the dark story. needed some more dialogue about beliefs.

gray man - 6.5/8
i enjoy it for what it was. turned off my brain and enjoyed the action. evans was really good being the bad guy. nice to see him outside of marvel. ryan and armas had good chemistry. would of like more backstory to ryans character and post story after final scene.

the domestic box office numbers for North America wasn't that impressive. for me, that is criminal. freakin Twilight gained more than that at a smaller budget.
It wasn't a blockbuster hit. So what?

Box office =/= quality

The Departed is critically acclaimed and considered one of Marty's best films.

I walked into that movie completely blind and it was unique for sure. I enjoyed that it had me 100% drawn in to the atmosphere and story. It was crazy when they would do those random "hymn" sounds and than completely stop abruptly.

Departed vs. Twilight? In a certain sense, box office numbers serve as a popularity contest. In any popularity contest, tweens vs mature adults will always be an unfair competition.

I’ve been sitting here for like 5 minutes trying to think of what PW could mean, maybe I’m an idiot help me out :lol

Patrick Wilson

I was thinking that was the initials of a title of a movie :lol

I think he’s criminally underrated, the guitar scene in The Conjuring. He was in two of the best horror film franchises of the last decade with that and Insidious. I don’t know if he even intended that to be the case with some of his earlier roles but it just happened.

Ok.....so, I just passed the S2 opening with the train on House of Cards........

Do they think I'm stupid??????

A cop shows a literal camera angle/replay of her "falling/tripping" yet the same camera 4 seconds earlier would CLEARLY show she was talking to someone, then chased after them one direction and came back flying the other direction...... :|

Seriously? :lol

Funny enough, I'm not some big Kate Mara fan, I don't even think those exist, but the show isn't the same without her all of a sudden. The show is clearly based on Spacey and RWP, but Mara gave it a.....viewer perspective balance I guess. Iono. I think it was a mistake. But we'll see I guess. I'm a couple eps passed now and she's clearly missed.

ima be that guy...
hated how loosely they dealt with electro's makeover....
loose ends like that kinda irk me...
I hear you.

I never actually saw the Garfield Amazing Spider-Man movies (felt like they came too soon after the Maguire ones) so that’s not something I would have noticed.

An Honest Thief
Jack Reacher
28 Days Later
Elysium
The Gray Man
Mission Impossible 2 and start moving forward on that, having only seen the first in 98 or whenever.

What sayeth ye? To you guys, do any of these stand out as far and away better than the others if someone hasn't seen any? #movienight

My last choice was The Mist the other night, so suffice it to say I don't trust myself right now.
