Yes. I liked her in The White Lotus. Brittany O’Grady too.
Watch this, though:Careful, public perception is swingin into "nostalgia" territory so people are pretending it was a good movie now, instead of just being a lazy vehicle to push 3D into the mainstream.
Yeah it ****ing sucks tbh.
I mean can you say its anything but a White savior story rehash that was made to amplify 3D as a theater pull? I will say the 3D looked great for the time and was used well. But the story was garbage and the movie as a whole was less than interesting.Watch this, though:

I've heard Dances with Wolves and Pocahontas, and I don't argue the stark similarities. The thing is, those are perceptions. And my point earlier with switching around the 2 descriptors in your previous response, my point wasn't to argue what you were saying. My point was simply to switch 2 descriptive perceptions to show that neither is right or wrong, that's all.I mean can you say its anything but a White savior story rehash that was made to amplify 3D as a theater pull? Not gonna be excited for Dances With Wolves 2022.
Smart crowd. The Avatar hype was very really in 2009 though. Remember having multiple people breathlessly tell me how amazing it was.
Agreed on all points. I dont dislike the fact that Avatar exists. People enjoy it, and that's good. Just because I don't like something doesn't mean it doesn't have its audience or purpose. Art is subjective, movies probably the most contentious form of art. My fiance sure doesn't enjoy the more extreme films in my libraryMy point was simply to switch 2 descriptive perceptions to show that neither is right or wrong, that's all.
I don't deny it's a story that's already been told. My rebuttal to that would simply be that so little in Hollywood is an original story.
Don't get me wrong. I was aware of the hype and how extreme it got. The story was not unique and even the actual writing and plot was uninspired and at times not good. But it did not matter to me. The enjoyment of the movie was the visual spectacle. Something that I hadn't really seen before. If this one can deliver on the same then I'll be happy. A lot of people were also complaining because became the highest grossing movie of all time. Thought it wasn't "worthy" of such a distinction.
I would be willing to bet fifty bucks they’re delicious looking
