Can I get a James Bond movie in the works, anybody jesus c’mon

What are its redeeming qualities? Why does a person need to watch that movie?
Talking about the double standards that we are all so uncomfortably familiar with while watching them be ignored, this film is heavy in them.

They do a reasonably good job of trying to dismantle them before finally pushing the main character past their limits and into their own justice where they seek absolutely zero forgiveness or permission-only swift and barbaric retribution.

As uncomfortable as it is it never pushes you away without pulling you back in. Laugh, cry, sad, angry, bitter, revenge, spite- it takes you through every stage of comfort and grief and complacency forcing you to evaluate similar situations you have surely encountered either personally or through close relationships or kindreds.

Neither side walks away unscathed yet both finalities end as poetic as justice can be in a situation as __________ as this one.

You won’t be sitting there at the end of this one thinking, “why was this made, what was the point of that?”
You’ll have an answer if you ask THAT question after watching.

**** smacks you dead in the face.

Saw the new Mean Girls

Some of the songs were good, some of the performances were as good or better than the OG, but overall it threw me for a loop with it being word for word the same as the original sometimes.

If you like the original and you like musicals then it's worth a watch

  • COMEDY: Family
    1. Scott Pilgrim
    2. Elf
    3. The Mask
    4. Ace Ventura
    5. What About Bob?
    6. O Brother, Where Art Thou
  • COMEDY: Adult
    1. Trading Places
    2. Rush Hour
    3. Hangover
    4. 40-Year-Old Virgin
    5. Horrible Bosses

I've never compiled tv series. Off the top, I'd say (in no order):
South Park
The Office
Righteous Gemstones
30 Rock
Young Sheldon

I’ve told you this before, but your movie comedy taste is

We had to watch the MASH movie in film class…. I fell asleep and got hit with a ruler. 2011 baby.

Them prices aint right lol.

Unless you talking base price on everything and not including internet with the cable.

I’m payin $100 for internet alone.

No cable plus no commercial streaming.

I’m easily at close $200 as a “cord cutter”.

I probably mentioned this before, but I had a similar reaction to the X-Files intro (due to fear)

Once those first notes hit, I NOPED out of there with the quickness. And to this day I have never seen an episode  I can't even remember if I saw a few minutes of an ep that scared me, or the theme was that creepy in itself

I should check out the movie soon though (X-Files, not M*A*S*H)

The Untouchables (on Paramount+)

They did such a great job of blending different types of filmmmaking stereotypes

-When they were at the Canadian border it was a Western production, and the score, scene-to-scene transition music and blend cutaways

-The slo-mo Costner shootout with the baby stroller going down the stairs was noir

It’s crazy watching From Russia With Love and seeing bits and pieces of that suave James Bond in Connery, as he’s the seasoned beat policeman

De Niro was great in his scenes, they just didn’t show him enough? I can’t decide if his lack of screen time helps it or downgrades it, he was in it more than Ledger was in TDK but barely.

Great Costner, some campy parts.

5.7/8

The Untouchables is a classic and has been parodied a couple of times especially this scene.
