Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Casino is better. Fight me.

To follow up: Everyone was burned out on mob movies by the time Casino came out, so it got dinged for that a bit. It's a really good movie, with amazing supporting roles from Joe Pesci, James Woods, Sharon Stone, Don Rickles and Kevin Pollack. Rickles was literally there for the mob era of Vegas. Casting him was a great nod to that era.

Edit: Stone was nominated for Best Actress. That's how good she was, and I wouldn't consider her to be on that level as an actress, overall.

They need to make a documentary about how Wonder Woman 1984 was such a disaster. Pascal in his PRIME, Kristen Wig, Pine returned, an awesome retro 80’s concept. It shouldn’t have been possible to fail as bad as it did. One of the worst films I’ve seen of the 2020’s
So many people work on movies and makes no sense that the story got greenlit about pine's character possessing another guy's body without consent and hooking up with diana bae. It's set in the 80s and that wouldn't have raised eyebrows in the actual 80s but so weird that no one was like nah that storyline can't fly now.

Interesting thing I spotted next Saturday on DirecTV.

One channel, I think Paramount (241) is running a John Wick marathon.

The next channel, USA (242) is running a Matrix marathon.

Two channels, two trilogies, same lead Actor.

Only other person I can think of that could match is Harrison Ford, kinda? (Star Wars + Indy) But he's not REALLY the Star Wars lead. Jack Ryan is close, but he only did two of those.

If Cruise does a Top Gun 3 he joins the party.

Like some others in here, I liked Red One more than I thought I would.

Was expecting it to be dumb entertainment, which it definitely was, but I was amused and left the theater content.

Does anyone like those musician biography movies? Feel like the recent ones were made for the purpose of trying to win oscars.

I've liked almost all of them. I loved Queen one, Elton John, Elvis, Whitney Houston, Straight Outta Compton.....I dunno, maybe because of the true storyish reasons, not sure. But I enjoyed them. And I'm not even a huge music person.
