Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Nathan For You is hilarious. Tune in. I'm in tears.

Son had a 7 year old give him his answers for a mock interview and then had a jerk do it. The jerk was too wild :rollin

I've seen it a few times before, but I forget how incredible The Graduate is. The writing, the acting, the dialogue and characters, the cinematography, THE SOUNDTRACK, everything.

So many little things like
When Elaine realizes it's her mother he had an affair with it's a closeup shot of her face but it's out of focus and slowly comes in focus as she figures it out and it's heartbreaking

devastating
Each scene has purpose, filled with conflict for the character. It's definitely one of my top ten favorite/best movies ever... and on most days I'd say top 5.

And it's easily one of the best endings to a movie of all-time.

had no idea this was him.... without that weird Batman voice he does with the mask, he has a pretty bad american accent

He actually really bothers me in these commercials for some reason. Probably the writing, but just seems like a huge douche.

I noticed, all British/Europeans who put on an American accent, move their throat/face/mouth waaaay too much when speaking in character. I don't know how else to explain it, but from Christian Bale to Damian Lewis, David Harewood, Idris Elba to this guy I see it all the time.

Robot Combat League has potential

Commentary is pretty funny and very WWE wrestling-like

"...huge blow to the leg! let's see how he handles this foot injury"

I don't understand this thread, but here goes.
Unintentionally saw Secretary today.
Robert California haha.
Movie was ridiculous.
I thought that it was hilarious how easy it was for her to just drop her fiance for Robert. I died at that first spanking scene. I died again at the sex scenes with the dude from Lost and Saving Private Ryan and Robert California. Has anyone else seen this movie? I don't feel that I understood the point of the movie.

What's not to understand, it's a movie discussion thread. It was explained last week in the thread about nothing.

Just a TV/Movie discussion thread. Write reviews on movies you watch, ask for opinions on what's good to watch, talk about actors/directors, upcoming films or shows, whatever it is that you are interested in watching, someone in here will have you covered. Lot of great discussions in here the past 2 years.

There's a table of contents in the OP that has some highlights, however I don't know if the pages match up now after the Yuku switch, hopefully it's at least fairly close.

Decided to hold off on a new show for a while...Currently watching The Following and The Americans and I have quite a few blu's that I've bought and haven't even watched so that's on the agenda! Gonna start it off with Argo tonight!

:lol you sound like me. I'm watching Following/Americans, haven't seen Shield or Mad Men yet, and have a ton of unwatched Blu's. :lol

The Contender has been on HBO the last several weeks & my wife has been chuckling because no matter when it's on, I keep getting sucked into to. I really like this movie. Besides the solid performances from Joan Allen, Jeff Bridges, & Gary Oldham. It also has a rock solid cast including Christian Slater, William Petersen, Mike Binder, & frickin Sam Elliott (even though he doesn't have his bad *** mustache). How can you go wrong with a movie that has Sam Elliott? I mean c'mom man seriously... This dude single-handedly brought the mustache back... :lol. Seriously though, for those that like political dramas, this is a solid movie...

I'm looking at my blu's right now and there's a solid 15 that haven't even been opened up yet! I told myself I was gonna watch as many blu's as I could this year(383 blu's) and I've only managed to watch 6 haha. Gonna try and watch a couple a week.

:lol at changing your mind in less than an hours time (since your previous post) .

Well I've been contemplating it the past couple of days since I'm all caught up on Sons of Anarchy now. Btw season 5 was pretty good

Lost Angels.”
Lost Angels re-teams Darabont with The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal. In his one reference to his old job in the io9 interview, Darabont repeats his friend Sam Witwer’s (Being Human, The Mist) jab about Bernthal being freed from the “shackles” of The Walking Dead.

Jon Bernthal and Pihla Viitala in Lost Angels.

Darabont has high praise for Bernthal, remarking, “He projects this effortless masculine quality, which we don't have a lot of in movies anymore. He's definitely a throwback. He reminds me of, if you were to genetically mix John Garfield a young Charles Bronson this is the guy he's playing on screen. And it's not an effort for him, he projects this fantastic testosterone without showboating it...”

Darabont also tells io9 about Simon Pegg’s appearance in the Lost Angels pilot, explaining, “Simon Pegg, whom I adore, came and played a role for me in this pilot as an American. He plays a stand up comic in 1947. It's not a funny role. It's a serious role. He's laying down a dramatic performance in a flawless, American dialect of the era... People who are Simon Pegg fans will be blown away by what he has done in this. I am his friend, and I've always known he's a very good dramatic actor and I expected great things from him, even my expectations were knocked on my *** by how good he is. So, you have that to look forward to.”

TNT has yet to announce a debut date for Lost Angels, which also features Jeffrey DeMunn (The Walking Dead, The Shawshank Redemption), Jeremy Strong (The Happening, Lincoln), Neal McDonough (Captain America, Justified), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Ron Rifkin (Alias, L.A. Confidential), Pihla Viitala (Tears of April) and Alexa Davalos (Angel, The Mist).

I've been waiting patiently for this show.

My biggest quesion in life is...what did Benjamin and Elaine do after they realized what they had done.

Srs.
