I understand some films may fall under a few categories, but if it's not an obvious choice, will we allow debate on whether X film fits under Y genre? Or should we just use an impartial system, like referencing what genre IMDB considers the film, or something in that regard.

My opinion is that you make the case for it within reason. So if IMDB doesn't refer to the genre you are looking for but another article does, then I think it would be fine.

I wouldn't mind doing a Horror/Thriller category, in my initial planning I had like one or two horror movies so I might have to pull one out of my !@* for that category
