Pac 12 Basketball Thread

i have said they need to fire dude for the last 3 years. look at how many cal products are NFL since he got to cal, thats way to much talent to have never gone to a BCS bowl game and for someone that is suppose to be a great QB coach since rogers left he hasnt developed a QB

Well that was one of the better games I have seen in person. Both defenses for the most part took the night off. Kadeem Carey was a beast tonight :smokin

After this thriller of a game against a ranked opponent we get to carry the momemtum forward with a showdown with Div. II South Carolina State :{

I have to admit, i was expecting the game to go the other way, especially after the first quarter but the boys took care of business. Sorta gets me pumped for the Oregon game actually

I know UCLA fans aren't talking :lol I expect it from USC fans because they are scum but UCLA? :rollin

Who are you kidding bro, UCLA smacked you guys last year and are going to get it done this year in Berkeley. Yall should have fired Tedford long time ago but you'll have to wait another year for your AD to get it through her thick skull. You should be thanking us for helping kick him out.

:lol

Tedford is still getting canned.... I hope :lol

Cal still has to play @Oregon State, Oregon, Stanford & Washington. He's getting fired

Cal doesn't have the money to pay his buyout. Cal doesn't even have the money to pay for its ****ing stadium. They're going to be screwed for a long time.

If you read the Bear Insider boards, a credible source there posted that Tedford is on his way out; it's just a matter of if it's during the season or after the season.

in the post, the thread starter says the buyout really isn't that big of a hurdle; it is nothing compared to the revenue they would lose with a crappy product on the field (esp. with what they had to pay for the new stadium). Basically, they have to fill up the stadium. If they don't the losses they will incur are far greater than the buyout.

They're not even close to selling out those legacy seats though, where is Cal going to find this money?

his buyout is 11.6 million add in on top of that the money you have to pay for a new head coach. with budget cuts for the UC system and cal already low on money its going to be hard to fire tedford right now.

this all goes away if a big booster comes up with the money tho. which from what i have read wont happen

UCLA may have saved his job last night

Talking basketball here.

I liked Colorado last year and and they seem to be a low key tough team this year again.

I like Murray State too. :lol

That's a good win for CO. Like the conference a lot this year from top to bottom. Can't sleep on USC, Furd, Cal, Colorado, Oregon at all...Hafta play good every night no matter who you are.

UCLA potentially seeing Indiana in this upcoming Legends tournament could bring a lot of respect to the Pac-12 with a UCLA win. Playing high profile teams like Georgetown and Indiana serves everyone in the conference well. With Shabazz reinstated and having practiced with the team the entire team during his banishment, the team should perform well and avoid belly flopping on a national stage. Have to believe that it won't be Shabazz that us Bruin fans will worry about but the players around him, especially with someone like Drew II who has demonstrated his difficulty adjusting to new situations.

Arizona doesn't get a chance to demonstrate it's potential against a ranked opponent for another month, against Florida. Of course, these rankings are constantly shifting so who knows who will be ranked in that time. I'm especially interested to see how Ashley plays as the season goes on, the kid is set to be a double-double machine once the season has matured enough.

Terrible showing by UCLA, but the season remains young. Arizona should having a nice winning streak with their cupcake schedule and be the standard bearer for the conference until Pac-12 play started.
