Pacman in trouble! Gets into altercation

An internal investigation by the Dallas Cowboys into Adam "Pacman" Jones' latest incident concludes that he was not in violation of his contract,or the understanding about conduct he had with owner Jerry Jones, a high-ranking team official said.
The team plans no disciplinary action, the source said.

An independent investigation by NFL security is underway but has not yet presented a report to commissioner Roger Goodell.

According to an investigation conducted by team security, the team official said Jones did get into a brief scuffle with the bodyguard that was assigned to thedefensive back for a private event Tuesday night at a Dallas hotel.

The bodyguard, an off-duty policeman who is part of a security detail assigned to Jones, told team security that some "kidding around" and"playfulness" between himself and the player resulted in a brief scuffle in a restroom. A vanity mirror suffered minor damage.

The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m.

A team official said the incident happened shortly happened after 11 p.m., although it has been reported that police were not called until 1:30 a.m.

Police determined that the incident did not merit any charges. Jones and his bodyguard, along with Jones' girlfriend and cousin, left the event togetherbefore midnight.
The head of security for the Cowboys delivered his findings to Jerry Jones, whom sources say is content that the incident has been overblown. However, theowner has reminded Pacman that his reputation and prior incidents place him under the highest scrutiny.

The NFL had no comment as of Thursday morning.

2 1/2 hours is just enough time to get your stories straight....

So the Cowboys did their own investigation and found nothing...I think I'm a little more curious to see what the NFL has to say after they conclude theirs.

"Well the Police chief just said on the Michael Irvin Show that police were dispatched at 11:01 p.m. He says the call sheet says 11 not 1:30a.m.

He says all the newspaper reports are wrong and no scuffle had to be broken up by police and it was over when they arrived. It also states that two blackmales. It never specified Jones being the guy. He did however say sources placed him there. He said "the facts say the altercation was over before theyarrived."

Also mentioned although alchohol was involved, but wasn't to the level of intoxication.

So even the Chief of Police says this is a non-issue...

Thanks ESPN...

ESPN is a joke, OTL is a joke, Ed Werder is a joke ... not saying pac isnt an idiot, but this %+!% is getting ridiculous

Everybody knew though that with Pac, any move he makes, ESPN, the media, everybody gonna be all over it.
He created this circus himself and now he has to deal with it.

But really, no one should be surprised at ESPN, they blow everything outta proportion when they know they can draw interest.

Look at that story that was talking about the security detail Jones ordered. It said something about having a driver so if they get pulled over it won'tbe Pac's fault. BS, you don't think ESPN would report over and over that Pac's car pulled over and then in tiny print, but he wasn't driving. ESPN would be all over that regardless of who was driving.

Dallas Police Respond to Disturbance Involving Athlete

On Tuesday October 7th approximately 11:00 p.m., there was a disturbance
call made by an employee at the Jewel Hotel at 1530 Main Street. The
call stated that there was a disturbance between two black males and a
black female arguing and fighting at the location and that the suspects
were in the lobby.

Two police elements arrived at the call and it was determined that the
disturbance was over and that some hotel employees over heard a scuffle
in the men's lobby restroom. According to the reporting officer, there
were no witnesses that came forward, at that time, stating that an
assault had occurred. The hotel management did point out that a glass
light switch plate had been broken but stated everything was OK.

Both of the men, one being identified as Adam Jones and the other as his
private bodyguard, stated everything was "OK". Both parties were driven
from the location by an acquaintance. The information on the alleged
assault by Mr. Jones was obtained after the incident had ended and the
alleged victim, (bodyguard), did not want to pursue any action stating
that this issue was a private matter.

LOL originally it was a broken mirror now it was some glass plate switch. And the tab was paid for.

SMH @ BSPN...

Yall dudes obviously have no clue. This was the biggest story of last night when it broke and all this morning. That is their jobs to cover the big story. Yallwould be sitting here *****ing if they wouldnt have mentioned it. Pacman Jones has a history of getting in trouble, and 1 more incident can get him kicked outof the league so obviously they are going to be all over this. To add onto all that, this is happening to the Cowboys and there you go.

Its not like they were reporting a lie or something, they have just been keeping everyone updated as the story develops. All of this other information has beencoming out slowly all through out the morning.

Jerry is talking right now. Said it was planned for his bday weeks prior and he told him he could go there. Was with his girl and %**$. Ill keep filling yallin as this goes on.

After watching Jerry, he brings up valid points.

First and foremost, this whole thing was organized by Jerry himself to be a private affair between Adam, his uncle and his girl and "Tommy" (the offduty police officer). Pacman has a birthday coming up and Jerry set up that private get together for Pacman which was private.

During the party they ended up getting into a disagreement AMONGST THEMSELVES. First of all, that mirror #!!$ being broken was false. It was like a glassswitch or something.

Second, what Jerry says is true. The disagreement did not consist of anyone outside of the party besides the two of them. They both settled their differencestogether and all LEFT together. It wasn't as if police ran sacked the hotel and had to break #!!$ up. They had a disagreement, they fixed it together, andall four of them left the place together.

Because its Pacman, any little thing he does is going to be blown up based on his history and he has to understand that. But to punish him for anargument/scuffle that was fixed by both the parties involved without police intervention is stupid.

Anyway, Jerry basically said that the relationship they have is tight nit and having someone like that always around you is going to once in a while get to youbut is resolved amongst yourselves. He compared it to having his driver drive him to work everyday and them having a disagreement of a radio station
laugh.gif
.Dumb example but I see his point. "Tommy" is basically like a guardian. Being around your guardian all the time is going to sometimes causedisagreements but is fixable.

This seems like another case of the media blowing #!!$ up without knowing the facts. The first reports said that this happened @ 1:30am. It was 11pm. Second, they said that a mirror in the bathroom was broken and shattered. It was some little light or some #!!$. I think thats the problem LilStar has. Initially, theway they reported it WAS a lie. They said that a mirror was broken and the tab wasn't paid. Both were untrue. The media is smart about the way they dothings in order to capture viewers. In a way you can't blame them because its their job, but to miscontru things from time to time and give a falseperception is messed up. But thats how the world is: messed up

Will you guys give it a rest with the ESPN $@@*? They weren't the first to report it. Matter of fact, it was hours later that they first reported it.Meaning they did take some time to gather up whatever facts they could. Why don't you blame PFT instead?
