Paris 2024 Summer Olympics: Wednesday PM - Alcaraz/Nadal fall to USA in Team Doubles, Katie Ledecky wins 1500M free in record-breaking time 🥇🥈🥉

Just want to get ahead of this, I love the Olympics, I love these threads every 2 years (summer and winter) and love conversing with y'all over it. My homies don't really gaf about the Olympics lmaooo just the hoops stuff. Meanwhile I'm locked in watching women's handball and sweating lmao

Just poking fun of titmus going to ‘4’ instead of ‘5’

But they didn’t actually explain NBCs role in the change and why she might have made the mistake
Wait, they pick their lanes?!
I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know that. 😂😬
Embarrassed because I have watched a LOT of Olympic water splashing.

Nah.. so the lanes used to go 1-8, 1 being at the bottom of the screen.. and in that setup, she went to the traditional lane ‘5’

But NBC pushed for them to go 8-1 for tv purposes (and I guess to make it similar to track), so lane ‘5’ is now lane 4

the change just happened for this US trials and now Olympics

I knew Canada has SGA, but I didn't realize they also have Dillon Brooks, Olynyk, Dort, & Jamal Murray.

Wild how the athletes have to vacate the Games village within 48 hours after their event/last event, literally ****.

Not that much time to enjoy the experience once they're done.

Camera man was outchea like...
