My uncle had two rocks and a pitt together with no problem. I am also a owner of an American pit bull for the last 7 years with no problems. Last month my gate got damaged by a huge storm that came thru. We didn't know that the hinge broke and he got out but stayed by the front door. When we returned my neighbor came to our house saying we that we better watch our dog and that It was trying to attack him and his little daughter. He didn't know we have security cameras all along the house. I viewed them and saw him and his daughter walking on the sidewalk and his daughter try to pet my dog. He snatched her up and left. My dog didn't do anything but linger around. No barking No aggression. He then came back to our house with a broom and walked on our driveway swatting at him. He was just running around trying to hit my dog. My dog didn't bark or try to come at him. He was running away like $$@. My dog ran to the side of the house and this dude was chasing him. My dog ran into the back yard and stayed there until he left and then just went back to the front of the house and layed there until we returned home. I showed him the video. He didn't say nothing at all. I told him to get the F*%$ out of here with that bull. He starts telling me he is sorry that he was afraid and goes on with his life story. They get a bad rep. I understand the hesitation but not the judgment of him or many other people that are faced with a situation like that. He, like many others, exaggerate over the temperament of a pit. There are to many scum that misuse the breed and they get the blame.
