i like how they divided the 4 by what ever km your buddy is set to and im here just laying in bed and my player is walking all over the placce when i open the app and im collecting abra candies, this alakazam is gonna get added sooner then i thought

so im planning on getting a blastoise, golem, and probably an omastar  (after i get my alakazam) with the buddy system during this 'event' that is happening

4 new pokes to the dex, would be lit 

 

edit: maybe a machamp too, gonna have to tell my mom that i will take my sister trick or treating

.75 walking for 3KM  pokes. Sucks because I was in the middle of a 3KM walk and instead of giving me the two candies it just reset my counter. Already caught a ton of Cubones and a Marowak 120/121 because I clicked a damn Gym by accident that had a Snorlax

It's LIIIIIIIITTTTTTT!!! Caught 70 candies worth of gastly in the last hour....... Just sitting on my COUCH. 40 candies worth of cubone

Meowth are everywhere too. Haven't seen a pidgey, a ratata, or a weedle in the last 2 hours

ive also seen a meowth, gastly, haunter and cubone on my sightings, none have popped up tho lol

I had a handful of meowths and gastlys, and one cubone before last night. Now I have enough to make a Persian, Gengar, and Marowak 

 Also making out like a bandit with the buddy candies 

 

I came across a 11xx Gengar (red targeting circle) last night, and after ~10 berries and ~20 balls (ultra, great, and even regular pokeballs after I ran out of those), it ran

Yeah, I've had several bogus pokedex adds due to gym "sightings". I'm just gonna ignore what the dex claims and know myself that I've caught everything I've actually had a chance at.

If they can have these random Pokemon events that give double candies, why not just make this standard?

Events that has double candies (or double xp in MMOs) are a way to get people to comeback and play in hopes that they start playing again.

Events that has double candies (or double xp in MMOs) are a way to get people to comeback and play in hopes that they start playing again.

The only people that are still playing are the people who truly enjoy Pokémon

Started the day with 11 cubone candies, now up to 168 since 6 am 

Added bulbasaur as a buddy yesterday. went from 3 to 16 in the same time frame. Would be a lot more interested everyday if the candy distance was shortened. 3KM should be the 5KM mons, 1.5 for the 3k, and .75 for the 1's. It takes forever getting candy's by walking. I had a charmander and there's 0 incentive for me to get the 100, after already walking to hell and back for the charmeleon, If it was like this daily it would be much more interesting

After only previously seeing about 2 or 3 ghastly, meowth, cubone,and drowsies, I just got enough to upgrade in 2 hours last night.

Just added haunter then gengar, and persian, followed
By hypno, then this morning I just evolved to get a marowak. Threw on graveler as my walking buddy so I should have a golem in like 2 days

I really wish they would leave the distance the same after the end of this promotion. 5km for 1 candy is waaaaay too much and completely pointless.

They need to. It got mad boring when 80% of what you encountered were pidgeys and rattattas.

I think it's perfectly fine since it is just an added bonus, your main source of candy should still be catching those specific mons.

Maybe once gen2 are introduced then they can double up the candies on the first gen to make it easier to get the evolutions.

Maybe once gen2 are introduced then they can double up the candies on the first gen to make it easier to get the evolutions.

But then the starters should be all over the place. I have caught 1 charmader (hatched 3), 0 bulbasaur (hatched 2), 1 Pikachu (hatched 4), and 32 Squirtle (hatched 2). The "main" characters should be prevalent to go along with the other basic pokemon. The 1KM for candy on Pikachu is fine. Why make charmader, squirtle, and bulbasaur 3km. I shouldnt have to walk a bazillion miles to evolve a starter pokemon
