^ I'm in the same boat. I gave up on trying to catch a Ditto **** is a myth to me like a Snorlax.

I caught a few ditto, usually they are in a pidgey cluster of about 2-3 next to a stop.

just counted. 273 "weak/starter/common" since ditto entered the game and haven't caught one. About to give up. Never had a Snolax pop up either. 135/136 for me

Farfetch'd and mr.mime were only available in the gen 1 games by trading With NPCs.
Then i assume they just wanted more regional pokemon and kangaskhan went to Australia for obvious reasons.

I've caught 2 Dittos so far. It was a long time after the first one before I caught my second, though... many balls have been wasted on worthless rats and birds. From Silph Road:
When Ditto Transforms, it seems to take the stats and moves of its target but keeps level (and presumably IVs) so the CP will be different
Ditto does not appear to copy a target's health so it is a glass cannon
Ditto's Prestige is based on the Transformed CP (so a high level Ditto is quite good to train against due to low HP and high CP)
A Ditto's CP can exceed that of its target
Based on my experience, I recommend mainly using Ditto against an opponent whose attacks are super effective against themselves (Dragon, Ghost). I was able to do a lot of damage against a 28xxCP Dragonite, but Ditto struggled to do much against a 2038CP Arcanine (Fire is not effective against Fire).
In super effective matchups, it's good as a suicide attacker against a foe you'd normally be outmatched against. It works due to the advantages a human attacker has against an AI defender (being able to dodge and timing of attacks). My highest mon is a 22xx Vaporeon, so without Ditto it would've been tough to take out that Dragonite.

And also some of the most famous Mime are from France.
Tauros and Kangaskhan made a lot of sens and I think they had to find pokemons that are not MUST have for the majority of players and that don't have any evolutions for the other regions.

I can confirm that that rumor isn't true. I have used a ditto offensively and defensively in a gym and the transformation only lasts until a battle is over.it not just for thanksgiving. dittos are in the game.are Ditto's still in the game ? or was it just for the thanksgiving Holiday ?
