Police Kill Unarmed Teen In Ferguson, Missouri

So, what do ya'll want out of all these protests? I mean, is it just the officer being arrested? Is that?

What about black owned credit unions?

Credit unions are not owned by any one in particular. So to say it was black owned is riduculous. Credit Unions are non profit. But it is safe to say that a credit union located in a black community would imply that the majority of members ate black.

Stop fanning this racial thing already Trying to peg one‘s credit and financial standing and situation to race is silly.

Thats why the reactions of disgust from white people in response to Donal Sterlings tape is so stupid and hilarious. Meanwhile he's the largest real estate developer in los angeles discriminating against black people.

Think about that,

lets say you are smart enough, enterprising enough, you hustle HARD enough to overcome ****** public schools, violence, all the ills of a poverty stricken neighborhoods; you somehow make it out of that, you get a scholarship, you go to a good school, you get a good *** job, and then you want to pass on this wealth to your children, you want your children to grow up in a neighborhood thats consummate with your the level of success that AGAINST ALL ODDS you managed to attain, get a place that will give your child a chance to end the cycle of poverty and build capital and investments that will last generations.

but you can't get into good neighborhoods because Donlad and Shelly don't want you, you can't get a loan for an expensive house cause you don't have "upward mobility" :x

and people want to talk about "culture" there is real tangible **** holding black people back, but people when talk about "black leaders". :{

Though he is past tense, its silly he wrote checks and employed CP, Blake, Doc, etc.

But case in point, stop trynna blame people. No ones stopping anyone from rising to the top. May you folks recall Michael Jackson, Jordan, etc. No need to play the race thing over and over. Success is there for individuals that wany it. You folks might as well stereotype certain groups kn welfare that do nothing for society but take from it.

And trying to bully someone for posting their views here or trying to report them is straight up stupid. The one sided view here and lack of openness is evident as it has detered others from speaking up their views. Some of yall aint even embracing others, and have the never to scrutinize others.

Peace.

Dude get a ******* hold of yourself.  This is almost as bad as the people who said "someone" killed Robin Williams to distract from Mike Brown.

FOH with that.
oh right, because I drew the picture. lol dork.
Are you not cosigning it by saying "hmmm" and posting it on here?  Cmon... Anyone who knows anything about when and where and who created the "Ice Bucket Challenge" would disregard this cartoon as trash.

......

So because a few individuals managed to make it suddenly all of our lots are better?

I have some choice words im refraining from using, but that's stupidity at its finest.

Keep wondering why all of our post aren't so friendly, because we keep having to see horribly thought out post like this back to back to back.

You could say the same thing during the Jim Crow era, was our lot just as good then? We had black people who made it during Jim Crow.. Couldn't have been all bad then right?

***** you know what I meant about 'owned'.

So were being silly fot trying to support black owned businesses? Ok brah.

Just decided to take a walk to a black book store near my house. I feel embarrassed that I've lived near some black businesses for so long and almost never patronized them. I picked this up from them, there was so much I was interested in but I decided to start with this foundational book by Frances Cress Welsing.

They could send supplies to the protestors such as water
Issue a statement just saying something as simple as justice for all
It's people like u that are too narrowminded to see the big picture
And one of the main reasons the world is how it is with prejudice all around
Getting free shoes wouldn't be the point
It would be to RAISE AWARENESS
A big company like that
It would make headlines
And draw attention
News coverage would constantly be talking about Nike and them helping to raise awareness
That is the first step in the process.
Raise awareness then educate, empower, and repeat the process.

Maybe NT can spearhead a #nosneakerseptember?

I'm sure the haters will say it's stupid and it may lead to opportunist resellers but what have sneaker companies and retailers done for minorities in light of all the injustice? Nothing.

Maybe if we reach out to attention ***** celebs to not advertise a single company, get the blogs to follow suit and force the country to listen.

I like this idea!!!

Can you make a separate thread? @Edshoecator

I think he was saying it's an issue that no one has taught you about credit unions...at least thats how I took it. And it is sad, that the education system in this country doesn't make sure folks know the difference between credit unions and banks, yet they can teach you Cosign and tangent...***** I haven't used either one of those words in about a year, except to describe me agreeing and some wild story I'm about to go on.

actually schools did... when they use to do life skill electives... and taught trades. It use to be a requirement in order to take drivers ed. Thing is this whole feminist and we arent treated fair movement ended all that. Because typically guys would take it to go into drivers ed... guys would take the classes like wood shop, auto repair, plumbing, construction and things of that nature and girls would take the planned parenthood classes, home econ etc..

Thing is all these outraged mothers saw it as sexist when in actually the reason many of the girls werent taking the classes simply put alot of girls didnt want to learn how to be a roofer, how to unclog drains, pour cement, work on big rigs. That and parents were like planned parent hood etc classes, home ec reinforces stereotypes and promotes teenage pregnancy and all that kinda stuff.

So in order to balance things out they made it where a certain amount of girls etc had to be in classes.. When the girls either didnt sign up, or just dropped the classes all together it just eventually dissipated. That and the large growth of trade schools.. and govt programs like planned parenthood.

But yea when i was like in the tenth grade we had one semester of finance econ 101, and taught you the basic, like loans, saving/checking accounts, saving bonds and cds, things like that. then you took the second part which was how to do resumes, how to dress do interviews etc... then the last portion of the course was drivers ed to which if you past your driving instructor took all the passing kids to the dmv and they took there test and past.

I kinda wish they did bring those type of courses back to school. I still to this day have no use for knowing the different types of clouds. The classifications of dinosaurs.... the complete works of shakespeare.

But being able to do banking, a drivers license, changing diapers etc... How to apply for jobs etc... Those things have carried me over in life and still are useful to this day. I guess the board of ed said the hell with knowing how to pay bills, how ira roth accounts work... what will be useful in life is being able to make a small scale solar system.. or how to carbon date a leaf lol....

It's not this easy. "Success is there for individuals that want it."

Tell that to the black and minorities that occupy and make up the outskirts of the political arena who are literally trapped in an ongoing cycle of downward social mobility and unless something extraordinary happens, that cycle just continues for generations. It isn't that easy.

I know not a single person with a positive thing to say about Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.

Everyone else not black repeatedly refers to them as our leaders.. I can't tell.

I don't care.

The constant criticsm of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as "race baiter's" and "racial agitators" is just another way for white people to make black people responsible for their own oppression and make deem your outrage illegitimate.

Oh black people don't believe in oppression, your just being "baited" or "incited" by "racial agitators".

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton aren't new creatures, they hold positions within the culture that have existed forever, they publicize and give voice to the issues of a minority class. They have no power or authority beyond what real feelings/veiwpoints black people have in America.

People act as if they have some svengali like control over black people and they can start riots with the snap of a finger, they been trying to get black people to stop saying the n-word forever and DON'T WORK, because there influence is limited to the experiences of black people in ameirca, most of which don't have conflicted feelings about the word.

don't fall for it. Jesse Jackson/Al aren't perfect, if you don't like what they are selling ignore them.
