*[Portland Trail Blazers]* Official Thread - 2012 Season has Begun!

When Andre is running the offense he just stands around instead of moving and trying to create plays like the other guys.  If his knee is the problem then he should take some time off and get that right.  I just don't like the body language of the rest of the team when Roy has the ball and his when he doesn't.  When he has it, it seems the rest of the team stands around cause they know he is going to try and do his own thing with it, but when Miller is running it everyone is moving around trying to create cause they know he will try and get them the ball.

not really a fan of the blazers, more of b roy, mainly watch blazers game to just look at what he does, and i noticed this too. obviously it'll yield better results for the team if this does not happen more often. just wonderin whats goin on there.

Basically BRoy has been a %*$!@ lately and was calling for Andre to be traded, he further pushes his point by almost refusing to play with him when they are both on the floor.  Whether it gives the team better chances when Roy is playing as a team, he doesn't really seem to care.  He is going to try to manipulate things to go his way.  Blazers have already been down that road with a shooting pg, and it has proven to be ineffective for them once they reach the playoffs.  They already have enough shooters out there, Andre creates a hell of alot more than a player like Steve Blake does and it shows, the rest of the team has been involved in these games this year more than the last few years it seems.

I don't like B.Roy because of his voice.

at just about everything you said.
You laugh, but Roy is acting like a female out there pouting, not moving around to get the ball.  The fact is that he is not worth building the team around right now.  Look at the damn game last night, the Blazers had more fast break points than they have probably had in several years.  That is how this team is built to play right now, a fast uptempo game.  Now why would you go and try to bring in players that suit Roy's style, you would have to revamp nearly the whole damn team.  Roy just needs to shut up and get out there and play and start proving he is worth that contract extension.
playing like a female? hes out there playing while hes injured. being a female would be sitting on the bench and not playing.
the blazers are going NOWHERE with andre/rudy/lma/camby. like i said, the best chance at competing is with roy. you will not win in the playoffs without roy.

If he is to hurt to move around and create more plays, the why the hell is he even out there at all??
grin.gif
Plus I said he is ACTING LIKE A FEMALE, NOT PLAYING(need to get you some hooked on phonics, learn some comprehension skills).  What grown man is going to be out there pouting about not getting the ball and the team not focusing on just him??  There is no I in team, seems like Roy never learned that simple phrase.  Blazers have a better chance getting all the players that you mentioned involved rather than relying on Roy for everything, remember like you said, he is injured so how can you depend on a player that is hurt???  Blazers aren't winning in the playoffs with or without Roy, they need to get more easy baskets and stop settling for jump shots and they need a real low post threat.

*sigh* These back-to-back on the road man

Stern set us up for failure.

As for Roy's knees?

There's no meniscus left to operate on in Roy's left knee.

"Nah. None. Not in my right, either," Roy said Friday.

It is time for this team to move in a different direction. Surgery won't be able to fix Roy's knees if he has no meniscus left, and he doesn't seem to want to accept the fact that he is no longer the player he was. I am not saying to trade him right now, but if they can get something for him do it. Like I have been saying throughout this thread, Roy is not the person to build the team around and this just further backs up my comments. If Oden comes back healthy and can put a season together this team could still be good without Roy, that is a big if though
30t6p3b.gif
Right now Roy just needs to take on a more of a role player position and realize he isn't the focal point, he needs to get out there and move around to get some easy baskets and create since his knees aren't going to be able to hold up with him trying to go to the basket.

I completely agree with everything you said Airblaster, I say most of the things you mentioned to my friends but they think I'm talkin straight blasphemy.

I don't see how he can be as explosive as he used to be after the knee problems.  Also your comment on Roy and Miller running the offense is on-point...I just hope Roy figures it out himself and start playing like he did in 08-09

yall gotta be kidding giving up on roy right now... he needs to take his %## to go see tim grover at attack... did yall not see how wade recovered and the season he had? wade is older and has a lot of miles on him from the way he plays...

roy needs to accept the fact that if miller is gonna stay, he is gonna need to come of screens and hit jumpers or drive to the lane...

roy seems like he wants a pg that is spot up shooter....

Sorry man

I honestly didnt want to see y'all lose to WSU of all teams. Just more for your squad to prove against the Ducks. Anyways, I dont even know what to think about the Blazers anymore. This team's breaking down physically and mentally, and at an alarming rate. At this point, there's gonna be fights and lockouts by the All Star break, people are gonna get fired and traded, and the fans are gonna be confused about everything. EVERYTHING. Roy's stuck here, so I feel like Cho and Co. are gonna try to appeal to him more than anyone. Miller? Expendable if it makes our currently un-tradeable superstar happy. Unfortunately, because I like how he brought control to the game plan which Blake lacked. I still like Roy though, he's our one competitor who can completely take over a game at the drop of a hat if needed (only problem is that his knees are limiting his ability to even take over a single possession).

For #%%!$ sake, this season needs to be mulliganed for us. More of a disaster than last year so far, as unbelievable as it seems

airblaster503...u seem like the type that hated roy from the start...
i think people have forgotten just how good roy was 2 years ago, and even last year playing 'without the meniscus' he was pretty damn good... people are giving up on him way too soon...now we're basically asking ourselves if we should build around andre miller or around roy... I'm willing to bet money Rich Cho doesn't re-sign Andre Miller...

the only shot we have competing for a title is if we have a healthy roy, oden being a dominant center, and lma playing like an all star....

no superstar (or even a star) is coming to portland...just like cp3 said, "why the hell would i want to play in Portland without Roy and Aldridge"

the only way we can rebuild is through the draft...heck if it takes a years rest for roy and oden im all for tanking and getting kyrie irving...
