Belgium and the Netherlands actually have a history relating to strange or flat out ridiculous family names. During the time of Napoleon conquering this region, people's names were registered in books.
Because Napoleon's people couldn't understand Dutch, when people had to list their names, some would actually just use insults or mock names as their name to mock Napoleon. That's how we ended up with people having family names that translate to Bornnaked, ***, Fword-er, ...
