That won't be covered. In your case "Driver Error" is all on you. A friend of mine bought a breade new 2012 M3 (manual of course) and the gearbox/clutch was already messed up upon delivery. He brought it to the dealer over 3 times and they weren't able to fix it, so it tell into the "Lemon Law" where you have the right to a new car. They denied his claim, he took them to court and actually ended up losing. Only thing he got was lost $ in lawyer fees and payments. They terminated his lease with no fee, he ended up buying another M3 but the DCT version (Twin clutch 7 speed automatic) It's not the fact that he didn't know how to drive stick, he does and has been doing it his whole life. But BMW claimed it was "Driver Error" and fought against fixing it.If I where to buy a car from a dealer brand new under warranty will they fix anything that happens to the car mechanical wise? I want to see if i can get a stick shift car and since i cant drive stick if I where to say blow the clutch or transmission will they fix that? Basically this is the only way i see it possible to even learn how to drive stick, well for me anyways. So will i be covered for that? And how easy is it to burn out a new clutch or transmission assuming the car is brand new and that ill stall a few times while learning?
You really want to learn to drive stick, go to enterprise and ask to rent a manual car. Thats what I did.
