I see lowered honda/acura SUVs in the tristate alot.

Why would you get an SUV and lower it unless a family member gave it to you for free

Sunday was basically the last event for the season, and it was AWESOME!!! Cars & Coffee of Wilmington Delaware had their annual Toys for Tots run to Nemours Children's Hospital. Over $40K in toys in 3 big Amazon vans and over 70 cars, with most being exotics, having a police escort with I-95 closed for us for a unimpeded cruise to the hospital. It was awesome!

I had planned to just take my Mustang down there and take pics, and drop off my donation then my wife wanted to go so she took her Gallardo and we signed up for the drive. So glad we did. Here are some pics of some of the cars and I'll post a video someone took as well.

This video is great. All the cars getting on the ramp to 95N. And the stupid R8 driver directly behind my wife's Gallardo, who spun out!

Even though it was DANG cold out, it was a great event to help give kids who are in the hospital a brighter Christmas. 👍

💯 I be seeing a lot of lowered trucks too, kinda defeats the purpose of getting a high riding vehicle. People do it for aesthetics I guess🤷‍♂️.

You mean like slammed? Or just lowered in general?
My XC is lowered, that gap is trash esp when you on 22s+

do any other trucks lower like Range Rovers when you put them in park? that's what lowered SUVs remind me of. when I had the Discovery ppl would be like does it go low tho to which I'd say you bet & proceed put it in low range 4 wheel drive, they were unimpressed. later a fren's pops got a Range Rover & I learned what these ppl were actually meant riding in it, Range has a hydraulic suspension the brings the truck lower to the ground when you put in in park

My Audi sq5 had air suspension stock, could lower and raise it depending on drive mode. Also could buy controllers that could lower and raise it more than you could from factory.

I was going to lower my X3m before I sold it. Only like .9” so not too dramatic (don’t really lose the ride height that much) but looks so much better iMO.

Last night at 1AM some fool tried to race me. I gave in since we were on a long stretch of road before approaching a town. I was leading, we hit 100+MPH. As we approached the town, I came to my senses and realized there was no prize and this was stupid and dangerous. Put my pride aside, let off the throttle and let dude pass.
good decision papi
Won auction on eBay and got it for a good price if everything checks out. It’s about 300 miles from here so I will be driving it to Houston. 1 owner until last year. Owners wife sold it to the current owner after he passed. 25k miles, almost og everything. Gonna have to get a fancy license plate. Might throw some 15s in it and add a radio. Gonna look nice next to 88 m6. Send more picks after I pick it up. My sons 3.5 and obsessed with cars and 1987 Grand Natty is his favorite. I can’t freakin wait!

sheesh congrats mane

I don't think so. Why? Before I left, my dealership acquired a Kia dealer and I got to spend time in a Telluride. It's a NICE vehicle and better than the Explorer we were selling. Kia has some rather nice vehicles now. K5, Stinger, the new EV6 Electric car?!! They aren't the Kias from years prior.”

So true. My whole adult life I mostly drove Honda civics into the ground. Last year, when my 2008 honda civic hybrid was hitting 225k miles, i was in a place financially to significantly upgrade my vehicle. Fortunately, my closest friend is a huge car expert, (he has owned corvettes, 4 series Bimmers, thunderbirds and currently owns an AMG mercedes). So when I told him I was looking to get into a used 2018 4 series Bmw, I was extremely surprised when he suggested that I get a Kia Stinger instead. He has never owned any japanese or korean manufactured cars, but he showed me videos from Doug Demuro about how this vehicle was beating the German manufacturers at their own game. So nearly a year ago today, I drove up to Norcal and got a ridiculous cash deal on a used GT Stinger.

Having this car as a daily driver has been an absolute dream. In the 53 weeks I have owned it, there hasnt been one single issue with it and putting it into Sport Mode on the highways is just flat out fun. I had the same misconception that the Kia brand was trash, but thankfully I was properly educated that Kia is currently doing amazing things. IMHO, Anyone looking into getting a Stinger, Telluride, or K5 won’t be disappointed.

yeah I'm becoming a lil suspicious of that, does any1 know ppl who had a Kia that was a lemon?

There really hasn't been. Some people are so fixated on the last when the Kia brand first got here and they were honestly junk. But that was in the 90s. Today, they have some of the best vehicles available. The Stinger is just one of their amazing cars. Could there have been a lemon? Sure. Any brand will have a few cars that don't pan out. They are after all a vehicle with over 500 moving parts (?) and something could go wrong. Happens to all brands. Even exotics who are mostly hand built. If I wasn't getting the new Maverick in time I'd definitely look at the K5 or a used Stinger GT2

I'd rather drive a new Kia than a new Bimmer or Mercedes and I'm a Bimmer guy through and through  This isn't 2004 anymore, Kia has taken big strides.

Kia is fire but its statements like these also.

My bro has a 2021 K5 GT Line, nardo gray with the red guts. Its def a looker, but still isnt the sportiest nor most luxurious. And thats fine, its not supposed to be. Kia is on top of their game right now, a good alternative to a BMW or Mercedes if you wanna save some bucks, but ultimately a tier below still as well.

Speaking of K5 GT Line, I drove his a couple of times and generally I like it, better tech and arguably looks better than my 21 Accord Sport. However, my Accord drives alot better. I didnt really like the steering feel on the K5.

I’ve had my Stinger GT for two years, purchase brand new, I don’t regret a thing, no issues other than I’ve had to replace tires, but aside from that I’d buy it again if I was in the market.

Kia & Hyundai have come a long way, just look at the amount of those 2 brands vehicles you see on the roads. Prior to I'd say 2004 they made junk. Kia makes vehicles that have all the bells and whistles. They look good and usually cost less than a comparable Honda or Toyota. On the flip side the Honda or Toyota will likely be worth more when it comes time to trade or sell the Kia. Back in the day, Kia was a budget car. They offered their 10 year 100k warranty, almost as a gimmick to entice you to buy. Nowadays?? Kia is right up there with companies you trust, like Honda. The Kia K5 & Telluride look so dope to me when the drivers leave the amber DRL's on. Looks so fire when the vehicle is painted grey with the DRL's on. And don't sleep on them Stingers. A few bolt-ons & tune, them babies can run with some of the big boys.
