Went to a tint shop with amazing reviews yesterday. I just booked it all online and didn’t talk to anyone and didn’t know what to expect.

I pull up to some random warehouse with no sign. This kid lets me in. Bro hands me a root beer and turns off his volcano and told me to sit in the recliner and he’ll be done in 40 minutes. It’s exactly what you’d expect if you 20 year old ran a tint shop. Then his boy turns up and find out we have mutual friends and we’re all going to eat at his parents steak house next week.

How far north did you shop man? Like Bay Area and concord or Sacramento area

Car was in Rocklin, CA, but I will shop and buy a car from just about anywhere so long as I can verify it's sorted.

I’m so annoyed guys. I bought a car from a dealership up in northern CA to replace my Model S.

Applied from my usual credit union to get the lowest APR possible. Went from 2.44% on my Model S to now 5.44%. I feel dumb already, but whatever. I’ll pay it off early and theyll never see that full interest from me.

Go to finish the deal, and now CU is requesting free and clear title from dealership, and turns out the car has an open lien from the original owner, and was on consignment. Great. 4-6 weeks to wait for dealership to get the title to send to my bank. I’m just sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Feel like I’m waiting for escrow to close on a house. Deal should’ve been done on my bday and now it’s dragged out.

DEALERSHIP SHOULD GIVE YOU A NEW TEMP TAG WITH NO ISSUE… AT LEAST THEY DO THAT HERE IN MEMPHIS…

LAST YEAR THERE WAS A HUGE DEAL WITH A DELAY ON GETTING REAL PLATES.

SO A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WERE BUYING CARS WERE GOING TO GET MULTIPLE TEMPS FROM THEIR DEALERSHIPS. THEN DEALERSHIPS STARTED EXTENDING THE TEMPS THEY WERE GIVING OUT FOR 90DAYS VS. 30DAYS. THATS HOW BAD IT GOT TRYING TO GET TAGS. WE HAVE THE WORST COUNTY CLERK ON THE PLANET. SHE LITERALLY WENT ON VACATION IN THE MIDST OF ALL THIS AND THE NEWS BLASTED HER FOR WEEKS.

PERSONALLY ITS WEIRD TO SEE A TAHOE, AND WHEN YOU HEAR IT, ITS A DIESEL.

BUT DIESEL IS TOO EXPENSIVE NOW AND NOT AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE… SO I’D TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION AS WELL.

MY SETUP IS GOING TO BE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THIS. ONLY DIFFERENCES IS THE THE VOSSENS I ORDERED ARE DIFFERENT FROM THESE AND THE TIRES I GET WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT TREAD PATTERN.

BUT THE LIFT I GET WILL BE THE SAME.

I rolled on expired temp tags for like 2 months a few years ago. The DMV was so bad the policed quit enforcing it.

I GOT +20 OFFSET,SO WHEELS WONT POKE OUT AT ALL(OR IT WILL BE HARDLY NOTICEABLE)… WHEN YOU DO NEGATIVE OFFSET, THATS WHERE YOU GET WHEEL POKE.

I had a set of Vossen’s that had finish issues. I had to send them back to Vossen to recoat twice. Each time the wheels only had a few hundred miles on them. I’d never buy another set.

I dig the lift but I’d go 20” MAX. The additional rolling weight will drastically affect acceleration, braking and overall ride quality.

I just got rid of C load Toyo AT3 and although the ride was plush they were overall too soft for my liking. There was more body roll in turns then there should be so I went to a Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT and ride has definitely improved.
Going up in rim and down in tire you’re definitely going to have a stiffer ride than your previous truck. It’s your truck and in the end you’re the only one who has to like it.

That's one good dude right there!! Sharing a car like this with others. Others who may never get to sit in one let alone even see another. I've only seen 2 ever and one was the yellow Lexus press car when they first unveiled the car many years ago.
