They didn't do a good job describing the type of snaps they had :lol

They've updated the descriptions on the site by the way.

If you want the same fit as a 5950, get the 9FIFTY fit.

If you want a similar fit as a Mitchell & Ness snap and a more square brim, go with the "Old School"

Just keep in mind though if you have a smaller head (7 to 7 1/4), then the 9FIFTY might look pretty big and boxy on your head since the 9FIFTY shape is built off a 7 1/2 size crown.

:x bought the 5950 thinking it'll fit like a fitted.. I hate snapbacks. :{

I wear 7 3/4, would the 9Fifty fit better?

I would think 5950, no? since that's what the usually fitteds are?
You're right, wasn't even thinking

I wear a 7 1/4 & I have a couple of snapbacks that are just sitting in the closet because they do look big & boxy on my head...

And sure enough, they're 9FIFTY'S.

@jonwin  always with the solid info

I wear 7 1/4s and let me tell u I hate those new era 9fiftys, they suck. So glad they had another option available because I wasn't gonna settle for that raggedy 9fifty fit :lol

Yea, for the bigger sized heads, the 9FIFTY is better fit for you. The "Old School" shape you might find too shallow on you since they're cut similar to a Mitchell & Ness snapback and if you've ever tried those on, I'm going to guess you didn't find those too comfy :lol

I'm glad they have that "old school" fit because anything with a high crown makes me look like a damn goof lmao.

how do u get rid of dust on the polyester on field fitteds? :(
Dust or dandruff, word to your SN :lol

All jokes aside, a horse hairbrush should get rid of a majority of the dust, if not all.

If it still looks dirty, I use the New Era cleaning stuff from some kit they have that is for re-shaping.

Received the "Old School (5950)" Black/Green today. Surprisingly, it doesn't fit that weird. I have the 9fifty coming in on Friday and i'll see which one is better.. on another note..

The RocNation Pin comes with the hat. :smokin :smokin :smokin

going to new york soon will be in the bronx will def hit up pegasus, any other hats stores yal recommend i check out while im there?

I use scotch tape; peel some off and wrap it around your index finger. Then run the finger along the parts that have dust.

The New Era website over 10 years ago offered that advice to clean dust off hats. I've been doing that ever since.

Somehow the polyester New Eras made in China attract a lot more dust than their made in USA counterparts.
