Post Your New Eras*59-Fiftys*etc... VOL. INFINITY NOW W/ Henz0/Thunderchunk/Icy's FAQ ON PG.1

Interesting what is deemed acceptable by the masses and what isn’t. just look at the sugar shack and these soda/candy series caps. I guess those are more just colorway changes and not cartoon logos. There’s so much more that should have been laughed at.

So now they’ll be super rare and priced as such. The nba city series has been around awhile and didn’t get mocked. I guess mlb purists do have some pull. I applaud it.

There were literal errors and inconsistencies. All the area codes for the royals weren't even from the right state. The rays didn't even have the area code where they're located on it, and the pirate randomly didn't have any area codes at all? The mocking was well-deserved.

Yeah, inconsistencies are bad. I wonder if we’ll see it corrected and re released? I think mostly the MS paint logos are pretty laughable too. I just know many milb teams have had weird logos and themes. Those should get laughed out of production too. It’s weird this got the cancel culture treatment. They were bad but par for the new era course

Yesterday’s wear.

Gonna be tough to say. I’ve bought a retro grey under from both places and both of the new releases were basically identical Bangladesh made wool. The crown height has gotten better over the years on these. I’d maybe ask around and try to go for China wool. The older inventory places may still have some lying around. Look on IG or FB to see how the new caps sit and fit. Some aren’t as high crown as others.

When the wool fuzz has its own shadow, you know it’s golden. It pretty much showed up pre curved and ready for wear. A++

I got this 76ers fitted hat from eBay exactly a week ago. It's really hard to find New Era fitted hats of this archaic 76ers logo. It was used with an extremely small amount of dust and lint which I already brushed off.

The seller had it listed for $10 plus $5 shipping originally. He also accepted offers, so I submitted $5, and he accepted it the same day! It ended up costing me $10.51 total for the hat, shipping, and stupid tax. He shipped it promptly too.

I received it yesterday. But it's made in China. Should I see that as a red flag? I know New Era fitted hats have been outsourced to China for several years now, especially with MLB on-field hats now. But this 76ers hat is an early 2000s version based on the tags inside, and this style with this archaic logo hasn't been made since that period. It's 100% wool. I could have sworn all New Era fitted hats from the early 2000s were made in USA. Were some hats from that era manufactured in China as well?

Can anyone please verify if I got a legitimate hat so that I can leave positive feedback for the seller? I also hope someone can verify that some hats were made in China during the early 2000s. Although it's a low price, I still would hate to get got with a bootleg product. I refuse to accept anything bootleg, especially with clothing and shoes. Perhaps wallyhopp wallyhopp can expound on this since he's really active on here with New Era stuff.

I even pulled out the tags to make them visible for this photo. Hopefully it's legitimate despite my skepticism with early 2000s New Era hats being made in China.

therealest1 therealest1 honestly that cap has all the tags and indications leading to be being made 2006 and beyond. Maybe as late as 2010.
The earlier nba and even nfl caps by new era all seemed to follow what new era was doing with baseball. So that white label with maroon/green tagging from 2000 to 2005 was also present on other league caps
Few quick examples

that second to last is made in China with all the others presumably made in USA. Once they went to poly for mlb, the floodgates opened for Chinese made caps.

Overall
I believe the cap is legit but years beyond what you believe it was made or produced in.

Thanks for elaborating all that. You also refreshed my memory with how the inside tags looked from 2000 to 2005 with the white sweatband. Now I remember the inside tags changed along with the hats having a black sweatband from 2006 to sometime last decade.

I've been needing an archaic 76ers round ball logo hat to wear with both of the Allen Iverson rookie jerseys I have since that logo last existed during his rookie year. I just hope this hat wasn't made in 2010 because it would be inaccurate for me. The 76ers rehashed that logo in 2010, but it was a lighter royal blue whereas the prior logo used until Iverson's rookie year (1996-97) was a darker royal blue upon doing research.

I care that much about detail and correlation. I wouldn't want to wear a current 76ers round ball logo with the lighter royal with the jerseys because it would be inaccurate for me when I should have the old darker royal logo. If the hat I just got was made before 2010 before the 76ers rehashed the logo, then I should be fine.

I just wish I found a Hardwood Classics version because that would have ensured accuracy. The older style round ball hats are hard to find.

Anyone have leads on this hat? Cant seem to find anywhere.

Even this one will do. Wish i kept mine.
