Hey NT'ers,

I was looking for an everyday watch and am looking specifically at the Timex weekender series just because of the versatility of the straps and the watch in general. My only gripe is the fact that it is a 38mm watch and I am looking more towards the 42mm range..any ideas or suggestions?

I know but Jomashop offers their own 2year warranty and with a simple ETA movement the Visodate has (2836, date version of 2824), almost any watchmaker can easily fix it so it is no big deal. Anything happens within the 2 years and send it back to Jomashop for a fix or a new one.

Personally I have no problem with jomashop and have ordered from them before, just want to give people the heads up before ordering. I rarely buy from an AD unless it is $1000+, too much savings from grey market sellers.

The gold plated version has always been priced higher than the silver version. You have to pay to play.

I am going to sell my Breitling Navitimer TwinSixty watch....going for a cheap price $750-$1000....it needs a full service and Breitling wanted about $1,100 for it to be brand new again including new parts etc. I just have a lot of watches and have other expenses. I wanted to see if anyone was interested because getting a new Breitling for around $2,000 is a great deal. I can post more pictures after. I did not know if this was the right forum but I figured most people are into watches here. Watch on the bottom right. Opinions please: I want to get a watch just as a daily and liked the style of the Timex Weekender (esp since I could change out the straps) but it was just to small for my taste (38mm with 18mm straps) so I saw these and just wanted to know what NT thought.

1) Timex Weekender Sport 39mm x 18mm

2) Timex Elevated Classic 43mm x 20mm

3) Timex Sport 43mm x 20mm

4) Timex Men's T2N227 Analog 44mm x 18mm

any opinions or thoughts?

All those are Timex so quality should be the same across the board. it will really just depend on which style you like. Although if the 38mm is too small for you, the 39mm will probably still be too small so cross that out of your list.

2, 3 & 4 all look sporty but the most tone down is #4. #2 & #3 might look smaller because it has more detail and wider bezel and that sloping minute numbers around. Try them all on in person if possible before making a decision, that is my best advice.

keep posting pictures man...i honestly went back and looked at this thread a million times a year or two ago when you posted pictures of everything. couldn't afford most of the watches at the time, but i definitely kept some of them saved on my computer planning to get them sooner or later. hope to do the same thing every year now.

This Pam512 might be the perfect Pam (or as close to being perfect for me) being 42mm. I might just be able to make it work on my tiny wrist, we shall see. Pam513 is the Rose Gold and god have mercy I'm a sucker for rose gold!
