Might the issue be amplified because of the improper education that Walt Frazier and black athletes of his generation were exposed to? I mean, weren't most of these guys nothing more than ahtletic slaves to their teams and/or colleges?
Growing up in the inner city, most of these guys were never taught proper grammatical structure let alone developed much of a vocabulary. As they age and pick up dictionaries, they learn the words, but the placement of these words doesn't flow correctly. They never learned proper english....Right?
I don't know. It can be some aspect.
