Putting Air Maxes in the wash, Safe?????

Would it possible to clean up the mesh on my Infrared 90's buy putting them through the washer and dryer??? Any suggestions?

they say not to wash or dry shoes but i put mine in the washer all the time then let them air dry. i know for a fact that the dryer can mess up shoes (ivetried it).

not the dryer, but the washer
take off laces and insoles, just throw em in there inside a blanket or a cover or something

Put the shoes in a pillowcase and tie it shut.
