QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

LOL at Rodgers "Stat padding".  Hes sat in the 2nd half like 4-5 times this year.

No one comes close to Drew Brees level stat padding.

I would just like to say I dont remember RW playing so poorly he had to be pulled from the game 8o

The Seahawks have had more than 30 points scored on them 4 times in the last 52 games.

Romo is definitely in the MVP conversation this year. Right now it should be Romo, Rodgers, Murray, Lynch, and Watt in whatever order you want.

It’s funny, I’m reading today you guys pumpin up Romo, who has the best Oline in the game, one of the top RB’s on the season (he and Bell/Lynch in some order) a top 3-5 WR in Dez, plays against a patsy pass defense schedule so his numbers look real clean…..

And then you all take shots at Luck, who has NONE of those advantages.

And cry about Romo not getting a chance to “stat pad”. :lol :lol :lol

I’ve already pointed out 50 times that the Colts were DOA before Luck even got to throw his first pass. Yet you’re all in here tryin to pin the game on him, and blame him for Romo not getting his extra numbers. What in the hell? :lol

If Romo is the MVP Shoes, why in the **** are you waiting til week 16 to say something about it? You hype every other thing that team does, yet I haven’t seen you in here all year long. But NOW that you want Romo to have attention (and diminish what Murray did for your team this year) it’s on all of us for him not getting any hype? Why?

Rivers got consideration because it was MVP to that point, 5-6 games into the year. Clearly, once he fell off, no one mentioned him any longer. Then Rodgers went on a tear, and deservedly got mentioned, as did JJ Watt. Then Brady got really hot, and threw his name into the ring. Murray’s name has been there as well, in so much that if he didn’t win MVP, he might win offensive player of the year. (an indicator that he is indeed part of the MVP discussion, even if he came up short) But here, in Week 16, NOW you want Romo to get a nod? *shrugs*

He’s had a great year, but he hasn’t even been the most valuable on his own team this year, so how could he be more valuable than anybody in the whole league?

Because as soon as they get to the RZ its checkdowns to Jamal... I swear dude looks like a greased pig slipping thru arm tackles for TD's.

Romo has the best O line and the league leading rusher. The GM came out and said we wanted Romo to throw the ball less to cut down his turnovers. How is this guy the MVP? Some of y'all are insane with the homer picks.

Luck has Trent Richardson as his #1 RB and a pretty bad O line.

Aaron Rodgers has looked like a created player majority of the season except for his game against Buffalo.

I'm tired of Brady but he's got that offense clicking pretty much all season long. He's in the convo.

Russell has basically reinvented the wildcat. I can't stand watching his game but it works. Defense and Lynch are more important to that team though. Russell isn't even in the convo.

I don't see Aaron Rodgers losing the MVP to anyone of these QBs.

Oh I know. Got Baby Gronk playing TE too. Still... Dalton has AJ, Sanu, Hill, and Gio. 15 touchdowns?

Maybe he'll prove the doubters wrong and shine in primetime tonight and next week....

Romo has the best O line and the league leading rusher.

Murray has the best O-Line and the leagues leading passer, according to rating anyway.

Can't discredit one guy and then pump up another when they both benefit from the same O-Line.

All I know is that Dallas would have a much harder time replacing Romo than they would Murray.

Pretty sure even Trent could put up yards behind that line.

Ok, that maybe pushing it, but I'm sure you see what I'm getting at.

Nobody is comparing the worth of a running back to a quarterback

This the quarterback thread, people are comparing how different weapons for each quarterback affect their success

if there was ever a time for the Ginger from hell to make me eat my words, tonight is the night. light them fools up, andy.

I'm sorry. We all can't absolved Luck from his pathetic performance yesterday and blame it all on somebody else like you do. *shrugs...*

No one's denying the O-Line and Murray having a tremendous season. Where exactly were they at when Romo was out against the Cardinals though? Oh yeah....

Best 3rd down comp % in the league and the best yards per attempt but it's all Murray and the O-line huh?

Seeing you dudes talk about how Murray and the O-line are more valuable than Romo this season when we actually have a game to prove their not is laughable.

LOL. #NTbias.

I post maybe 2-3 times a week on this board total.

Watching you clowns circle jerk Luck, Russell, Rodgers, and the rest in here gets a little boring.

:lol

Ok, so, they play a Monday night game, Weeden ties the score, they put Romo back in, he coughs it up.

Murray has 220 total yards that game.

Then, 6 days later they face Arizona, and Murray tabs 90 total yards, and Weeden is sacked 1 time, but they are at fault?

Guess that was their bad game on the year. Romo lost the 9er game, the Skins game, and Thanksgiving tho, right?

So because Brandon Weeden (who sucks)... came in and did what he does best (which is suck)... that in turn means that Tony Romo is the MVP of the Cowboys?

Trying to figure out where you're going with this.

Romo is great. But this isn't the year for him to get the MVP award. I think he should have had more consideration in the recent years where he was practially the only thing keeping the Cowboys competitive. This year it's the O-line. I don't think Murray is all that special, but when you have gaping holes, like he does, it makes him look great.

I'll give Manziel the benefit of the doubt, but I'll tell you that if we hear more news about his shenanigans this offseason then I'll all but have my opinion sealed that he won't pan out. He looks unprepared and rattled. He needs to get on the same page with Gordon and he needs to learn to throw first, scramble later. He's gonna have a real problem adjusting away from his instincts.

Coughs it up? Are you being serious or just talking just to talk?

You make it tough to acknowledge and respond to some of the B.S. you say. JJs07 type B.S...

To say the Cowboys would be where they are today without Murray is debatable.

To say the Cowboys would be where they are today without Romo is not even a conversation.
