R.I.P. PAUL WALKER

Here is a cool video of Paul Walker in Japan visiting the famous Mine's Motorsports in Japan, driving a tuned R35 GT-R:

Thanks for posting this. Huge fan of Mine's and their Nissan tuning.

Paul was a gawd in the JDM world

I just saw the Tyrese photo...too real

I've never been hit by a celeb death like this one

Damn man, I've NEVER been shaken by a celebrity death but I've been feeling like crap ever since I heard Saturday night and really can't stop thinking about it. I can agree with a majority of the NT demographic that, as much as we poke fun of the franchise, we've all literally grown up with them. I thought this was pretty cool too and I supported the cause.

That's awesome

And I feel exactly how you feel; I think we just connected with him bc he was a big time Hollywood actor but lived his life as a regular dude who didn't forget about his friends and his fans

He should've offered to drive the whip and he still might be here with us.

what are the conspiracy theorist saying about this one? just kidding, i don't care.

RIP

Like I said, Brian never does anything wrong when it comes to driving

Paul Walker may not have ever gotten into the car that took him to his death if it hadn't been acting up moments before the crash ... TMZ has learned.

Paul showed up Saturday for a fundraiser at Always Evolving -- Roger Rodas' high end auto shop that specializes in exotic cars. Paul had a stake in the shop.

Sources connected to Roger tell TMZ when Paul arrived ... Roger was watching one of his employees try in vain to back the Carrera GT into the shop, but it kept stalling. Roger decided to take matters into his own hands ... told the worker to get out and took the wheel himself.

As Roger began to back into the garage ... Paul came up and said he hadn't driven in the Porsche yet -- so he jumped in the passenger seat and they took a 20 minute drive.

The fatal accident happened on the way back from that drive -- just 500 yards from the shop.

Paul's best friend from childhood, Nute, grabbed a fire extinguisher and was among the first to arrive on scene. We're told Nute frantically tried to extinguish the flames ... even though it appeared to him both men were already dead.

When the fire dept arrived they tried to pull Nute away, but he was overwrought and punched a firefighter. We're told Sheriff's deputies put Nute -- and several other of Paul and Roger's friends -- in custody, but let them go when they realized the circumstances.

Absolutely terrible and preventable.
I remember when the cgt came out around 2004-05, new owners were commenting on porsche forums that the clutch took some getting used to and stalling the first time around was common. I don't believe the car was acting up, just an inexperienced auto technician trying to drive it.
But if your car specializes in luxury whips, why would you have an inexperienced technician on staff to begin with?

Inexperienced in terms of having a lack of experience with the CGT. The clutch is light as hell in that man.

Even though there's been plenty of cheesy/corny moments in this franchise, it was my favorite one ever.

Watching him and the cast of F&F growing up, it kind of feels like a lost a friend, weird feeling. |I

Everyone's been saying how nice he was in real life, never letting that Hollywood life get to him, shame he went out too soon.

May he rest in peace.

I actually have a picture somewhere at the 'rents house of me in the Mitsubishi Eclipse he used in the first movie.

Gonna see if I can find that picture, I had to have been like 9 at the time. I felt so cool. :lol

I am going to give the driver some benefit of the doubt here and guess that there was some kind of mechanical issue/failure coupled with the high rate of speed and type of road they were on that contributed to the accident. It would seem unlikely that two people of their expertise were just F'in around and happened to crash. Maybe I am wrong but it doesn't all add up unless drinking was a factor- which it didn't seem to be.

Either way- tragic, definitely, and a huge fan of the series. Even worse, that something seemingly so fun and innocent took the lives of two good guys with young families. Prayers for them and their loved ones.

I thought the dude who was driving was a part time professional racer?
