R.I.P Trayvon

I don't understand how a case like this wouldn't bring more people together instead of separate us
You can't bring something together that's always been apart,by force,by law,by attitudes,by miseducation and a superior complex that based off of one group being better than the other group no matter what the situation might be.Years and years of this and you think things like this should bring people together?and then on top of that you have a certain population who holds on to "benefit of the doubt" as if that all there is no matter what is presented to them.Alot of that type of thinking is racially based and is deep rooted in America,it's not going anywhere because to change things means to do the opposite of what has already been done, through history. Most Americans don't want to make history through change and the old guard that actually control things don't want a single thing to change because they benefit from the system now the way it is.

Yeah. I can definitely see that. For a lot of people, their views will never change, but I guess I thought after something like this, other people would see the ridiculousness of racism and how stupid it is. Making an effort to show people that they don't think like that and that it only causes problems and stress to undeserving people and create hate and anger for the ones partaking in it. I mean, a family lost their son.

It's ironic that this whole situation became EXACTLY the title of this thread.

The Trayvon Martin trial. Not the George Zimmerman trial, but the Trayvon Martin trial. That dead child has been crucified beyond belief and somehow made to be out to be a criminal. I'm sure if they could they dig up his body and throw him in a cell they would, this **** is disgusting.

Meanwhile Martin's speculated past has been plastered everywhere, Zimmerman's actual past of assaulting his ex-fiance and a police officer, and allegations that he raped his cousin have gone completely under the radar.

This **** is a completely and total sham, from Sanford PD, to the Jury, to the Prosecutors.
CHUUCH!

Very little justice in the US. I'm not just referring to this case, because many people look at it in BLACK and WHITE when initially it's right from wrong. There are so many cases that end like this that aren't getting national attention and its sad but true. There are other cases that get national attention and leave you scratching your head like WTF. We've all seen the case comparisons between this one (killed innocent but yet rowdy black kid found not guilty)

Casey Anthony killed her daughter and found not guilty (WENT TO GREAT LENGTHS TO COVER IT UP)

Andrea Yates drowned 5 of her kids and found not guilty

Michael Vick kills a few dogs and sentenced to 23 months

How come we can mess up our own neighborhood but can't get Zimmerman I mean if that's why they doing it just look for dude instead of messing up the area where u live.
I think the people that go out looting are not concern about the trial or the outcome, they are just using it as an excuse to be thieves.

People that care are doing their protest in a responsible way.

Honestly when was the last time a protest in America changed anything??????

Sanford, Florida - Wikipedia

With a population of only 53,000, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the older jurors knew the Zimmerman family personally. Especially if they were from Sanford.
The trial is over so its time for some action. Its time to PROPERLY
educate our youth.
Its time to stop letting THEM tell US what's best for US.
They called us militant and made us fear not getting hired or losing jobs if we stood for black rights.
They told us we couldn't wear dreads in corporate America.
They told us the people that marched for us to be where we are now, didn't have our best interest at heart.
They call our President all types of racial insults, and challenge his citizenship.
We have to recognize the mind games and divide and conquer tactics, and defeat them with our intellect.

It allows people to show their displeasure with things in a peaceful manner.

Sadly there's people who are just using it to create havoc and so forth.

That's what taints it.

You ever heard of "Don't ask. Don't tell"?
The civil rights voting act?
No I was seriously asking not being sarcastic I couldn't remember...................

B37 was dropped by her agent and her book deal has been killed. Thankfully someone has sense.

@sharlenemartin After careful consideration of the book project with Zimmerman #JurorB37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation.
