More lies. He said to the officer in the station when the dispatcher asked was he following Martin he said "I don't know where he went".  That's not whats on the phone recording.

Either he's lying or he forgot what his exact response was.

I feel like he's lying. He KNEW telling the officer that he told the dispatcher he was following Martin when the dispatcher told him not to would look bad for his case. (yes, i know dispatcher's hold no legal power..etc, but still)
